Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

BBK V15 Pro — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (B-G1)
This is a 3.85V, 3700mAh Li-Polymer replacement battery for the BBK V15 Pro and 1818 smartphones. It replaces the OEM part number B-G1 when the original cell has degraded, lost capacity, or will no longer hold charge through a normal day. Capacity and voltage match the factory specification exactly.
- V15 Pro and 1818 fitment: Both model numbers share the same physical cell dimensions (75.72 × 62.70 × 4.35mm), the same 3.85V nominal voltage rail, and the same B-G1 connector and BMS handshake — so one cell covers both variants without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the V15 Pro platform. The BMS accepted the cell on first insertion, charge termination triggered correctly at full voltage, and the protection circuit tripped as expected under an over-discharge load test.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle at standard current. This gives the fuel gauge IC time to map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated cell — which causes erratic percentage readings and early cutoffs.
Why the V15 Pro reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap
The V15 Pro uses a coulomb counter IC that builds its charge model against the original cell's impedance and discharge curve over hundreds of cycles. When you fit a new cell, the IC is still running its old learned model — so the percentage shown on screen does not match the actual state of charge in the new cell. This mismatch usually shows up as the phone jumping from 30% to 5% without warning, or as the gauge locking at a high percentage well past when the cell voltage has dropped. One full discharge-to-charge cycle at standard current forces the IC to relearn the curve against the new cell.
Sudden shutdown at 20–25% on the replacement cell
This is a voltage cliff issue, not a capacity fault. When the modem connects to a demanding signal environment or the screen brightness peaks, instantaneous current draw spikes — and if the fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to a degraded old cell, it cuts power at 3.5V even though the new cell has charge remaining. The shutdown happens because the protection circuit reads a voltage drop and interprets it as a critically low cell. Run two full discharge-charge cycles without fast charging to let the coulomb counter recalibrate; after that, the gauge threshold should align with the new cell's actual 3.4V low-voltage floor.

Frequently Asked Questions
The V15 Pro won't turn on at all after the new battery sat in a drawer for a few months — is the cell dead?
Probably not dead, but the BMS has locked out below 2.5V per cell after sitting in storage at low state of charge. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a PC port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without trying to power it on. The charge IC needs to trickle current into the cell to bring voltage above the BMS recovery threshold (around 2.9V) before the protection circuit will allow normal operation to resume.
USB fast charging stopped working after I fitted this battery — the phone just charges at normal speed now.
On the first charge cycle after a cell swap, the BBK charge controller re-handshakes with the new cell's BMS. If that handshake didn't complete cleanly — often because the phone was restarted mid-charge — the fast-charge protocol gets suppressed and the phone falls back to standard 5V/1A input. Power the phone off completely, connect the original BBK charger (not a third-party cable), and let it charge from below 20% to full without interruption. That full uninterrupted cycle usually restores the proprietary fast-charge negotiation on the next plug-in.
The battery percentage on the V15 Pro is jumping around erratically — it reads 60%, then drops to 15% in minutes.
The coulomb counter IC is still running a charge model calibrated to the worn-out original cell, not the new one. The large, sudden percentage drops happen because the IC's state-of-charge map no longer matches the actual voltage curve of the replacement cell. Run two complete cycles: discharge the phone until it shuts itself off, then charge to 100% at standard speed with fast charging disabled. After those two cycles, check whether the percentage stabilises — if it does, the IC has remapped to the new cell's curve.
