Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

BBK Vivo V17 Neo — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (B-H0)
The B-H0 is a 3.85V, 4400mAh Li-Polymer cell for the BBK Vivo V17 Neo and V1913. It replaces the original battery when capacity has faded from normal charge cycles. Dimensions are 84.30 × 64.00 × 4.60mm — a direct physical match for the factory battery bay.
- V1913 and Vivo V17 Neo compatibility: Both model numbers refer to the same hardware platform. They share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — one cell covers both.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran the B-H0 through full charge and discharge cycles on a V17 Neo unit. The BMS accepted the cell without error flags, and the charge IC stepped through CC/CV phases as expected on the first cycle.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC build an accurate discharge curve against the new cell before high-current charging runs into an uncalibrated state register.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Vivo V17 Neo after a cell swap
The V17 Neo's modem and display pull sharp current spikes that can drag a new cell's terminal voltage below the BMS cutoff threshold — even when the fuel gauge still shows charge remaining. The fuel gauge IC is calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve, so it misreads the new cell's actual state of charge. This creates a voltage cliff where the phone shuts off well before 0%. One full discharge-to-shutdown followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% resets the coulomb counter and closes the gap.
USB-PD fast charge not activating on the first cycle after replacement
After a cell swap, the charge IC on the V17 Neo sometimes holds the new battery in trickle-charge mode for the first session — this is normal BMS behaviour when it detects an uncalibrated cell. Fast charge negotiation via the USB-PD handshake won't escalate until the IC confirms cell impedance is within range. Charge the phone on a standard 5V charger for the first full cycle. After that cycle completes, reconnect the fast charger — the IC should accept the higher current and the phone should confirm fast charge in the notification shade.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Vivo V17 Neo keeps shutting off around 25% after I put in the new battery — why?
The fuel gauge IC is still running the discharge curve from your old cell, so its state-of-charge estimate doesn't match what the new B-H0 cell can actually deliver under load. When the modem or screen spikes current draw, the terminal voltage drops faster than the gauge expects and the BMS cuts power. Run one full discharge — let the phone shut itself off naturally — then charge uninterrupted to 100%. That single cycle forces the coulomb counter to recalibrate against the new cell's actual curve.
The battery percentage jumps around erratically right after installing the B-H0 — is the cell faulty?
It's not a faulty cell — it's the fuel gauge IC recalibrating. The coulomb counter lost its reference point when the old cell was removed, and it's now sampling the new cell's open-circuit voltage to rebuild a baseline. Erratic readings typically settle after one or two complete discharge-charge cycles as the IC fills in the lookup table. If the jumping continues past three full cycles, check that the connector is fully seated — a partially seated pin causes intermittent voltage readings at the fuel gauge input.
My phone feels warm near the battery compartment while charging the new B-H0 — should I be concerned?
Mild warmth during the first few charge sessions is normal. A new Li-Polymer cell has slightly higher internal impedance than a broken-in cell, so the charge IC dissipates a little more heat during the constant-current phase while impedance drops. Surface temperature should stay below 40°C — if it exceeds that or the warmth persists past the third charge cycle, check that fast charging is disabled for the break-in period. Charge at standard 5V/1A until the cell has completed two full cycles, then re-enable fast charging.
