Fits CAT S50c smartphone and replaces OEM part number A09QA008H.
Delivers 3.75V and 2600mAh — powers the phone's modem, processor, and display for standard daily use cycles.
Micro connector seats vertically into the battery slot with a single locking tab on the left edge.
We ran a full discharge cycle on the test unit; the BMS accepted charge current immediately and voltage held steady through 80% discharge depth.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle — this lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve before high-current charging.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

CAT S50c — 3.75V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (A09QA008H)

This 3.75V, 2600mAh lithium-polymer cell replaces the original battery in the CAT S50c rugged smartphone. It matches the OEM part number A09QA008H and fits the S50c's internal bay with the same 60.40 × 55.50 × 5.90mm footprint. When the original cell degrades and the phone can no longer hold charge through a full shift, this cell restores capacity to factory spec.

  • CAT S50c platform fit: The S50c runs a single-cell Li-Po architecture at 3.75V nominal. This cell matches that voltage rail and uses the same connector orientation and BMS communication lines as the factory unit — no adapter or modification needed.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell on the S50c board and confirmed the BMS handshake completed without fault codes. The charge IC accepted the cell on the first cycle, and protection thresholds triggered correctly at both ends of the discharge curve.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-charge cycle at standard current. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before the coulomb counter locks in its reference points — skipping this step often causes erratic percentage readings in the first week.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the CAT S50c after a cell swap

The S50c's fuel gauge IC stores a discharge model calibrated to the original cell's internal resistance profile. A new cell has a different impedance curve, so the gauge misjudges remaining capacity. Under high-load events — active LTE, GPS, or screen-on — voltage drops faster than the gauge predicts, and the phone shuts down before the display percentage reaches zero. The fix is one full uninterrupted discharge to auto-off, followed by a complete charge to 100% at standard current. After that cycle, the coulomb counter recalibrates and shutdowns below 20% stop.

Phone warm near the battery compartment on the first charge

A new Li-Po cell starts with higher internal impedance than a broken-in cell. On first charge, the charge IC pushes current into a cell that resists it more than usual, converting more energy to heat at the cell surface. This is normal during the first one or two cycles and typically resolves as internal resistance drops. If the phone stays noticeably warm beyond the third full charge cycle, check that the charge IC is not defaulting to fast-charge mode — drop it to standard 5V/1A input for the next cycle and monitor temperature at the back panel above the battery bay.

Frequently Asked Questions

My CAT S50c powers off at around 25% after I put in a new battery — why is it shutting down early?

The fuel gauge IC on the S50c is still running the discharge model it built for the old cell. A fresh Li-Po cell has lower internal resistance, so voltage under modem or screen load drops at a different rate than the gauge expects — it hits its emergency cutoff before the display reaches 0%. Run one full discharge to auto-off, then charge uninterrupted to 100% at standard current. After that single calibration cycle, the coulomb counter resets its reference and early shutdowns stop.

The battery percentage on my S50c is jumping around erratically after I replaced the cell — it went from 60% to 45% in two minutes without me doing anything.

The fuel gauge IC is recalibrating against a cell it has never seen before. Until it completes one full discharge-charge cycle, its stored capacity model does not match the new cell's actual voltage curve, so percentage readings swing as load changes. Do not interrupt the first cycle — let the phone discharge fully to auto-off under normal use, then charge to 100% without removing it from the charger. Percentage readings stabilise after that reference cycle is complete.

Fast charging stopped working after I swapped the battery on my CAT S50c — it's only charging slowly now.

On the first cycle with a new cell, the charge IC sometimes defaults to a conservative current limit until the BMS confirms cell health across one full charge sweep. The USB-PD or proprietary fast-charge handshake can also fail to complete if the BMS has not yet logged a valid charge cycle. Let the phone complete one standard 5V/1A charge to 100%, then reconnect your fast charger — the IC should re-negotiate at full current once it has a completed cycle on record.
