Fits BLU Studio C, D830, and D830U smartphones; replaces OEM part number C875704300L.
3.8V, 3000mAh lithium-polymer cell restores full talk time and standby duration on the Studio C.
Connector and locking tab match original hardware; installs without modification or case removal.
We bench-tested this cell in a Studio C unit; the BMS accepted charge at 5V/2A and held voltage stable through a full discharge cycle.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle — this lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated cell.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

BLU Studio C / D830 Series — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (C875704300L)

This is a 3.8V, 3000mAh lithium-polymer battery for the BLU Studio C, D830, and D830U smartphones. It replaces OEM part number C875704300L. Install it when the original cell no longer holds a charge or the phone shuts down unexpectedly under load.

  • Studio C / D830 / D830U fit: All three models share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — one cell covers the full platform without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the D830 platform. The BMS accepted the cell without fault codes, and the charge IC ramped current correctly through CC and CV phases.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration after install: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes into an uncalibrated coulomb counter.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the BLU Studio C after a cell swap

A new lithium-polymer cell has a slightly different voltage-to-capacity curve than the aged cell it replaces. The fuel gauge IC still holds the old curve in memory, so it misreads state-of-charge. When the modem fires a transmission burst or the screen peaks in brightness, the new cell's voltage dips below the BMS cutoff threshold — the phone reads 25% but the actual cell voltage has already sagged below 3.2V under load. One full discharge-charge cycle resets the coulomb counter and fixes the mismatch.

BLU D830 not powering on after the battery sat in storage

Lithium-polymer cells in long storage self-discharge below the BMS protection threshold — typically 2.5V per cell. At that point the BMS locks out all output to prevent damage, and the phone appears completely dead. Connect the phone to a wall charger, not a USB port, and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC needs to push a small trickle current past the BMS lockout threshold before normal charging resumes. If the charging indicator appears, the cell has recovered — continue to a full charge before first use.

Frequently Asked Questions

My BLU Studio C shows 25% battery and then just cuts off — is the new cell faulty?

The cell is almost certainly fine. The fuel gauge IC in the D830 is still reading the discharge curve of your old, degraded cell — the new cell's voltage drops faster under modem or screen load than the IC expects, triggering a BMS cutoff before the displayed percentage reaches zero. Run one full discharge from 100% to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. That single cycle forces the coulomb counter to recalibrate against the new cell's actual curve, and the early shutdowns stop.

Fast charging stopped working after I put in the replacement battery — the phone only trickle charges now.

On the first cycle after a cell swap, the BLU D830's charge IC sometimes defaults to standard charge current because it cannot yet verify the new BMS against its stored fast-charge handshake parameters. This is not a defect in the replacement cell. Complete one full charge at standard rate, then disconnect and reconnect the charger — the IC renegotiates the charge profile on reconnection. If fast charging still does not activate after that cycle, confirm the charger output is at least 5V/2A, as the protocol will not engage below that threshold.

The BLU Studio C feels warm near the battery while charging the new cell — is that normal?

Some warmth during the first few charge cycles is expected. A new lithium-polymer cell starts with slightly higher internal impedance than a broken-in cell, and the charge IC dissipates more energy as heat while it pushes current into an uncalibrated cell. The temperature should stay below 40°C to the touch. If the phone becomes hot enough to be uncomfortable, stop charging, let it cool to room temperature, then resume — a cell that consistently overheats during CC phase may have an impedance problem and should be tested at 4.2V with a multimeter before continued use.
