Fits BLU Studio C Super Camera and D870U smartphones; replaces OEM part TLP15F27.
3.8V and 2500mAh capacity matches original output for calls, messaging, and app performance.
Connector inserts flush into the battery slot with no locking tab; orientation marked on housing.
We bench-tested the TLP15F27 cell on a D870U load profile; BMS accepted charge without fault codes.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one full discharge-charge cycle so the fuel gauge IC recalibrates to this cell's discharge curve before high-current charging resumes.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

BLU Studio C Super Camera / D870U — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (TLP15F27)

This is a 3.8V, 2500mAh (9.5Wh) Li-Polymer cell that replaces the original TLP15F27 battery in the BLU Studio C Super Camera and D870U. It fits the same footprint at 75.85 × 59.30 × 4.00mm and connects directly to the stock charge management circuitry. If your original cell is swelling, draining faster than it used to, or failing to charge past a low percentage, this cell replaces it directly.

  • Studio C Super Camera and D870U compatibility: Both models share the same PCB layout, connector pinout, and charge IC. The TLP15F27 part number covers both — the BMS handshake, protection circuit, and connector are identical across the two variants.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the bench and confirmed the protection circuit trips correctly on over-voltage and under-voltage thresholds. The BMS communicates cleanly with the phone's charge IC without triggering an authentication error.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first cycle: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle. The fuel gauge IC on the D870U calibrates its coulomb counter against the cell's discharge curve — skipping this step causes the percentage readout to drift or jump erratically during normal use.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the BLU D870U after a cell swap

This happens because the fuel gauge IC is still running the discharge curve it learned from the old, degraded cell. When the new cell hits a voltage point the old map didn't predict, the system reads it as a critical low and cuts power — even though charge remains. The fix is one full uninterrupted discharge from 100% down to automatic shutdown, followed by a full charge without interruption. After that single cycle, the coulomb counter resets its learned curve to match the new cell and the shutdowns stop.

Phone showing 100% charge immediately after plugging in the replacement cell

This is a stale fuel gauge state — the IC retained the last known charge level from the removed battery and applied it to the new cell before any measurement cycle ran. It is not a sign the cell is faulty. Power the phone off, leave it on charge for 90 minutes, then power it back on. If the percentage is still misreported, discharge the phone fully until it shuts itself down, then charge to 100% without interruption to force the gauge to relearn from a known floor.

Frequently Asked Questions

My BLU Studio C Super Camera powers off at around 25% after fitting the new battery — is the cell defective?

The cell is not defective. The fuel gauge IC recalibrated its low-voltage cutoff against the old, worn cell, so it triggers a shutdown earlier than the actual charge level warrants on a fresh cell. Run one complete discharge — let the phone shut itself down naturally — then charge it to 100% without interruption. After that cycle, the coulomb counter resets to the new cell's discharge curve and the early shutdowns stop.

Fast charging stopped working the first time I charged the replacement TLP15F27 — the phone is only trickle charging.

This is normal on the first cycle with a new cell. The charge IC on the D870U runs a pre-charge conditioning phase when it detects a new or low-state cell, deliberately limiting current until it confirms the cell voltage is stable above the fast-charge threshold. Plug in and leave it on charge for a full uninterrupted cycle. Fast charge protocol re-engages automatically on the second cycle once the IC has logged a completed charge session against the new cell.

The battery percentage jumps around — it reads 60%, then skips to 45%, then back up — after fitting the replacement cell.

Erratic percentage readings mean the fuel gauge IC is still interpolating charge level from a discharge curve it learned on the degraded original cell. The new TLP15F27 has a different impedance profile, so the IC's stored map no longer matches what it is measuring. Discharge the phone completely until it powers itself off, then charge to 100% in one uninterrupted session. That forces the gauge to rebuild its lookup table from the new cell's actual voltage-versus-capacity curve, and the jumping stops.
