Once the cell reads above 6.5V, the pump will power on and resume normal charging. Do not attempt to force-boot the device from a deeply discharged state.

The pump's charge IC applies a conservative upper limit when it encounters a cell it hasn't profiled yet, which is standard behaviour on medical-grade charge controllers. It is not misidentifying the cell. Let the first charge run to completion without removing the battery — the IC logs the cell's charge acceptance curve on that first cycle. On the second charge, the indicator will reach 100% and charge termination will behave normally.
