Fits Coolpad smartphones using CPLD-94 OEM battery; restores original cell function.
3.7V, 1650mAh capacity delivers standard runtime for compatible Coolpad handset models.
Connector type and physical dimensions match OEM specifications for direct installation.
Bench testing showed stable BMS voltage output and normal charge acceptance on first cycle.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle — this lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve before high-current charging.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Coolpad CPLD-94 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 3.7V, 1650mAh Li-ion replacement battery for Coolpad smartphones using OEM part number CPLD-94. It fits Coolpad handsets that shipped with that original cell. Install it when the factory battery no longer holds charge or fails to power the device.

  • CPLD-94 cell platform: Coolpad phones running the CPLD-94 share a matched voltage rail, connector pinout, and BMS handshake profile. Swapping to this cell keeps the charge IC operating within its expected parameters — no voltage mismatch, no charge protocol rejection.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on compatible Coolpad hardware. The BMS accepted the cell without error flags, and the charge IC completed a full cycle without thermal cutoff or charge-halt events.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-charge cycle at standard rate. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes load into an uncalibrated state.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

This happens because the fuel gauge IC is still referencing the old cell's discharge curve. The new cell hits a voltage cliff under modem or screen load before the OS expects it. The phone cuts out even though the reported percentage looks safe. Run one full discharge to near-zero and a complete charge cycle — this forces the coulomb counter to reset its state-of-charge baseline against the actual cell.

OS reporting wrong battery percentage after cell swap

The fuel gauge IC calibrates to the cell it was paired with at the factory. After a cell swap, its internal model no longer matches the new cell's actual capacity curve. You'll see percentages that jump, stall, or read high when the phone is close to empty. A single full discharge-to-shutdown followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% resets the coulomb counter and restores accurate reporting.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Coolpad phone won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months — is the battery dead?

It's likely a BMS lockout, not a dead cell. If the cell self-discharged below 2.5V during storage, the BMS trips a protection cutoff and the phone won't respond to the power button. Connect the phone to a charger and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing anything — the charge IC will trickle current into the cell until it clears the lockout threshold, then normal charging resumes.

Fast charging stopped working the first time I plugged in after fitting the CPLD-94 — the phone charges slowly now even on the fast charger.

The USB-PD or proprietary fast charge protocol sometimes fails handshake on the first cycle with a new BMS. The charge IC defaults to standard rate as a safety fallback. Disconnect the charger completely, power the phone off, then reconnect — this resets the charge negotiation sequence. If that doesn't resolve it, complete one full standard-rate cycle first; the BMS typically accepts the fast charge protocol from the second cycle onward.

The phone feels warm near the battery while charging after I installed the new cell — is something wrong?

Mild warmth on the first few charge cycles is normal. A new cell starts with higher internal impedance than a broken-in cell, so the charge IC dissipates slightly more energy as heat during the constant-current phase. If the phone becomes hot to the touch or the charger disconnects early, check that you're not charging in an enclosed space. Warmth that stops after two or three full cycles is the cell settling — persistent heat above that points to a charge IC fault, not the cell.
