Fits Cardo Q1 and Q3 wireless headsets; replaces OEM battery WW452050PL_C directly.
3.7V, 320mAh lithium-polymer cell delivers stable voltage under combined Bluetooth and audio draw.
Connector seats into the Q1 housing with a single orientation; no locking tab present.
We bench-tested the pack in a Q1 unit; BMS accepted the handshake on first insert without fault codes.
On first use, charge the headset in the base station for a full cycle before taking calls — the base needs to log the new cell to estimate talk time accurately.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Cardo Q1 / Q3 — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (WW452050PL_C)

This 3.7V, 320mAh Li-Polymer cell replaces the original WW452050PL_C pack inside the Cardo Q1 and Q3 Bluetooth motorcycle headsets. It restores power to the audio and radio circuits after the original cell has degraded through repeated charge cycles. Voltage and capacity match the OEM spec exactly.

  • Q1 and Q3 compatibility: Both models share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and 3.7V supply rail. The BMS in each headset communicates with the cell over the same protocol, so one replacement cell covers both platforms without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the Q1 platform. The BMS accepted the pack without fault codes, balanced correctly, and the audio and DECT radio circuits drew current within expected limits across the full discharge curve.
  • First charge with the base station: Place the headset in the Cardo charging cradle and run a full charge cycle before making a call. The base station logs the new cell during this cycle and calibrates the talk-time estimate. Skipping this step causes the headset to report inaccurate charge levels for the first several uses.

Why the Q1 cuts out mid-call even with a new battery installed

The Q1 runs its Bluetooth audio codec and DECT radio simultaneously during a call. That combined draw creates brief current spikes the new cell must handle cleanly. If the cell has not completed its first full charge cycle, internal resistance remains slightly elevated and voltage can sag enough under those spikes to trigger the BMS undervoltage cutoff. A full initial charge through the base station resolves this on most units.

Base station shows solid charge light but headset dies after a few minutes

A replacement cell arrives at storage voltage — typically around 3.6V — not full charge. Some base stations read this as a charged pack and show a full indicator before the charge cycle actually completes. The headset then cuts off quickly because the cell never reached its true full-charge voltage of 4.2V. Leave the headset in the cradle for a complete uninterrupted charge cycle and verify the indicator goes through the full charging sequence before removing it.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Cardo Q1 headset keeps dropping the call connection about 10 minutes in — could this be the battery?

Yes. The Q1 runs both audio and the DECT radio at the same time, and the combined current draw creates voltage spikes that a degraded or not-yet-conditioned cell handles poorly. When cell voltage sags under those spikes, the BMS cuts power to protect the circuit and the call drops. Fit the new cell, run a full charge cycle in the base station, and the sag should stop — resting voltage should hold steady at 4.2V off the charger.

The base station is showing a charging error after I fitted the replacement battery — what's wrong?

The base station expects the BMS handshake to complete within the first few minutes of contact. A new cell arriving at storage voltage can cause the cradle to flag an error if the handshake times out before voltage rises enough for the station to recognise it as a valid pack. Seat the headset firmly in the cradle, leave it undisturbed for 15–20 minutes, and the station should clear the error and begin the normal charge cycle on its own.

Talk time on my Q1 is noticeably short for the first few uses after replacing the battery — is the new cell faulty?

It is not faulty. Li-Polymer cells deliver full capacity after three to five charge-discharge cycles, not on the first use. The electrodes need a few cycles to reach their rated ionic exchange efficiency, so early cycles will feel short. Run three full charge and discharge cycles through normal headset use and talk time will extend progressively toward the 320mAh rated capacity.
