Fits Dell Digital Jukebox models using original part number S-D0910A battery.
This 3.7V 1050mAh lithium-polymer cell restores full playback capacity to your jukebox.
Connector matches the original slot; no adapter or modification needed for installation.
We bench-tested this cell in a second-generation Digital Jukebox — BMS accepted charge current immediately, voltage held steady across the discharge curve.
After installation, connect the charger and wait 30 minutes before powering on; media players enter deep-discharge protection after storage and need a trickle charge cycle first.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Dell Digital Jukebox — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (S-D0910A)

This 3.7V, 1050mAh Li-Polymer battery replaces the S-D0910A cell in the Dell Digital Jukebox series, including the Jukebox DJ, Jukebox DJ 1st, and Jukebox 2nd generation models. It fits players that have lost the ability to hold a charge or will no longer power on from the original cell. Swap it in when the factory cell has degraded past usable capacity.

  • Digital Jukebox series fit: These models share the same 3.7V single-cell architecture, connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol — the S-D0910A part number covers the full range without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on Dell Jukebox hardware and confirmed the BMS handshake completed correctly, charge termination triggered at the expected cutoff voltage, and the player's battery indicator updated accurately across the full state-of-charge range.
  • First charge after cell swap: After fitting this battery, connect the player to its charger and allow a full uninterrupted charge before use. Players that have sat without a cell — or with a fully dead cell — can enter a deep-discharge protection state where the device shows no response until trickle current has been applied for at least 30 minutes.

Battery percentage jumping erratically after cell swap

The Dell Jukebox estimates charge level by mapping voltage to a percentage table calibrated to the original cell's discharge curve. A new cell starts with a slightly different resting voltage than a depleted original, so the indicator recalculates at startup and can show unexpected jumps. This settles after one or two full charge and discharge cycles as the firmware re-anchors its voltage thresholds to the new cell. Run the player down to auto-shutoff, charge fully to 4.2V, and repeat once — the readout stabilises.

Playback cutting out before the battery indicator shows empty

The audio amplifier circuit in the Jukebox draws a brief current spike when driving headphone output at higher volumes. Near the end of the cell's discharge curve, voltage sags under that load below the amplifier's minimum operating threshold — the player cuts audio or shuts down even though the indicator still shows remaining charge. This is a voltage-sag issue, not a capacity issue. If it happens consistently, let the player shut down fully, then charge to 100% before the next use to keep the cell in the upper part of its voltage range.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Dell Jukebox won't turn on at all after sitting in a drawer for months — is the battery dead or is something else wrong?

Extended storage with a depleted cell often triggers the low-voltage lockout in the BMS, which blocks the player from powering on to protect the cell. Connect the charger and leave it for at least 30 minutes without pressing the power button — the cell needs a slow trickle charge before the BMS will allow normal operation. If the charge indicator light comes on during that window, the battery is recovering. Once the device shows a charge level above 10%, power on normally.

The battery percentage on my Dell Jukebox jumps around after I replaced the cell — it went from 20% to 65% without charging. Is the new battery faulty?

The Jukebox firmware maps resting voltage to a percentage table built around the original factory cell's discharge curve. A fresh replacement cell sits at a different resting voltage, so the firmware recalculates and lands on an unexpected number at startup. Run the player down until it shuts off automatically, then charge it in one uninterrupted session to full. After one or two full cycles, the voltage-to-percentage mapping recalibrates and the readout stabilises.

My Dell Jukebox cuts out mid-song even though the battery indicator still shows charge remaining — what causes that?

The headphone amplifier needs a stable voltage floor to drive audio output. As the cell discharges toward the lower end of its curve, a brief load spike from the amplifier pulls voltage below that floor and the player shuts the audio circuit or powers off entirely — even if the indicator hasn't reached zero. The indicator lags because it samples resting voltage, not load voltage. Avoid running the player past the 15% mark; recharge before it reaches that point and the cutouts will stop.
