The Dolphin cradle checks contact resistance before initiating the charge sequence. If the gold-plated contacts on the battery or dock have handling residue, the dock interprets high resistance as a fault and throws a charge error. Remove the pack, wipe the contacts on both the battery and the cradle dock with a dry lint-free cloth, then reseat firmly. The error clears and charging begins once contact resistance drops below the dock's threshold — typically under 100mΩ.

During a fast scan burst, the imager and wireless radio draw simultaneously, creating a combined inrush spike that can momentarily sag cell voltage. If the BMS reads that sag as an under-voltage event, it trips and drops power to the radio — the scanner stays on but the wireless link drops. This is most common when the pack is below 30% charge. Keep the pack above half charge during high-frequency scanning shifts, and ensure the cradle tops it up during breaks rather than just standby-charging overnight.
