Fits Efco Sirius 1200 cordless mower; replaces CS-ABL300VX battery pack.
25.2V 2300mAh lithium-ion delivers full blade torque on dense turf without mid-cut sag.
Slide-lock connector seats flush into mower chassis with single orientation; no adapter needed.
Bench testing shows BMS accepts full 25.2V charge on first insertion; no reset cycle required.
Before first-season use below 10°C, warm the pack indoors overnight—cold cells trigger blade motor inrush cutoff on heavy grass loads.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Efco Sirius 1200 — 25.2V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 25.2V, 2300mAh (57.96Wh) Li-ion replacement battery for the Efco Sirius 1200 cordless lawn mower. It slots into the same battery bay as the original pack and runs on the same voltage rail. Use it as a direct swap when your original battery no longer holds a working charge.

  • Sirius 1200 compatibility: The Sirius 1200 blade motor runs on a 25.2V nominal Li-ion rail. This pack matches that voltage and uses a BMS tuned to handle the blade motor's inrush current spike at startup — the same load profile the OEM pack manages.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through startup load cycles on the Sirius 1200 platform. The BMS held through repeated blade engagement, including simulated heavy-load conditions, without triggering a false cutoff.
  • Seasonal storage tip: If the mower has been in an unheated garage from autumn through spring, bring the battery indoors overnight before first use. Below 10°C, Li-ion cells carry higher internal resistance, and the blade motor's inrush current can trip the BMS on a cold pack before the cells have warmed up.

Charger showing fault after the mower sat all winter

Li-ion cells self-discharge slowly in storage. If the Sirius 1200 battery sat unused from late autumn to spring, cell voltage can drop below the charger's acceptance threshold — typically around 2.5V per cell. When that happens, the charger sees a pack it cannot safely charge at full current and throws a fault light instead of starting. Some chargers include a recovery or trickle-charge mode; check the Efco charger manual for that option. If no recovery mode exists, the pack has dropped too low to recover and needs replacing.

Mower cuts out mid-row then restarts after a short pause

This is thermal protection activating, not a fault with the battery itself. Sustained cutting through thick or wet grass forces the blade motor to draw continuous high current, heating the cells until the BMS shuts output to protect them. The pack typically recovers once cell temperature drops — usually after a five-minute rest with the mower stopped. If this happens repeatedly on a single charge cycle, reduce the cutting pass width so each row takes less blade load. Avoid cutting wet grass where possible, as moisture resistance roughly doubles the motor's sustained current draw.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Efco Sirius 1200 cuts out halfway through a row and then starts working again after a minute — is the battery faulty?

That's thermal cutoff, not a defective pack. Sustained blade load through thick or damp grass drives high continuous current through the cells, and the BMS shuts output once a temperature threshold is reached. Let the mower sit for five minutes with the blade stopped — the pack should recover fully. To reduce how often it triggers, narrow your cutting pass width and avoid mowing when the grass is wet.

The charger won't accept my new Sirius 1200 battery after it spent winter in the garage — the fault light comes on immediately. What do I do?

A winter in an unheated space can drain Li-ion cells below the charger's minimum acceptance voltage, around 2.5V per cell. Check your Efco charger for a trickle or recovery mode — some models will slowly bring a low pack back up to an acceptable voltage before switching to normal charge. If the charger has no recovery mode and the fault persists after 30 minutes, cell voltage is too far gone to recover safely and the pack should be replaced.

The new battery feels noticeably warmer than the old one did after mowing — should I be concerned?

Warmth on a new pack during the first few uses is normal. Fresh cells cycle through a conditioning phase where internal resistance is slightly higher than it will be once the cells are broken in — this shows up as slightly more heat output during the first three to five charge-discharge cycles. Run the battery through five full mowing sessions and monitor whether the warmth reduces. If the pack is hot to the touch or the mower is cutting out after those five cycles, check that the battery bay contacts are clean and making full connection.
