Fits Stiga 325, 328S, 520, 522 lawn mowers; replaces OEM part numbers 1126-9105-01, 1126-9138-01, 1126-9174-01.
25.2V at 9000mAh delivers enough capacity to cut typical residential yards on a single charge without the pack dropping below usable voltage mid-cut.
Slide-on connector with positive-left orientation; locking tab engages flush against the mower's battery slot — no wobble or contact resistance when seated.
We bench-tested against a Stiga charger and confirmed the BMS accepts full current on first connection; discharge curve shows stable 25V output under blade motor load with no early cutoff.
If the mower cuts out mid-row on your first use, let the pack cool for five minutes — the blade motor inrush current triggers thermal protection on a freshly charged cell before the BMS settles.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Stiga 325 / 328S / 520 Series — 25.2V Li-ion Replacement Battery (1126-9105-01)

This 25.2V 9000mAh lithium-ion battery replaces the original pack on Stiga cordless lawn mowers including the 325, 328S, 520, and 522, among others. It matches OEM part numbers 1126-9105-01, 1126-9138-01, and 1126-9174-01. Voltage, connector, and BMS communication all match the original specification.

  • Cross-model fit — 325 through 522: These Stiga mower models share the same 25.2V battery platform, connector housing, and BMS handshake protocol. One pack fits across the range without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through blade-start inrush cycles and sustained cutting loads. The BMS held steady across multiple high-draw events and entered thermal protection only at the expected threshold — no nuisance trips on normal turf.
  • Seasonal storage tip: Before packing the mower away at end of season, charge this battery to around 50–60% rather than full. Stiga Li-ion packs stored at full charge over winter experience faster cell degradation — partial charge lowers cell stress during long-term storage.

BMS cutoff on thick-grass and wet-grass blade load

When the blade hits dense or wet grass, the motor draws a sharp inrush of current — significantly higher than normal cutting load. If that spike exceeds the BMS current threshold, the pack cuts power immediately to protect the cells. This is not a fault with the battery; it is the protection circuit doing its job. Reduce deck height by one setting in thick sections, or make a second pass rather than cutting more than one-third of the blade length in a single run.

Charger shows fault light after mower sat all winter

Li-ion cells that self-discharge below roughly 2.5V per cell over a long storage period will be rejected by the standard charger — the BMS sees the pack as outside the safe acceptance window and refuses to initiate a charge cycle. This shows up as a solid fault light or no response from the charger LED. To recover the pack, place it in a warm room (above 15°C) for two hours, then reconnect the charger. If the charger still shows a fault after 30 minutes on charge, check cell voltage with a multimeter — a pack resting below 18V total will need a compatible recovery charger capable of a low-current pre-charge below 2.8V per cell.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Stiga mower cuts out halfway through a row then starts again after a short pause — what's happening?

This is thermal protection activating. The blade motor generates sustained heat under load, and when the pack's internal temperature hits the BMS cutoff point, it interrupts power to prevent cell damage. It resets once the pack cools — usually within five minutes. If it keeps happening, check whether the cutting deck is partially blocked with clippings, which forces the motor to work harder and pushes more heat into the pack.

The battery feels noticeably warmer than the old one did after a full mow — is something wrong?

New Li-ion cells run warmer for the first several charge and discharge cycles while the cells condition and internal resistance settles. This is normal behaviour and surface temperature should stabilise after approximately five full cycles. If the pack is too hot to hold comfortably after a standard mow beyond cycle five, check that the battery bay vents on the mower deck are clear of grass debris — blocked airflow traps heat against the pack casing.

The mower feels sluggish and loses power faster on the first cold morning of spring — is the battery failing?

No — Li-ion cells lose available capacity as temperature drops, and below 10°C internal resistance increases sharply, which limits how much current the cells can deliver to the blade motor. Bring the battery indoors the night before your first spring mow and let it reach room temperature before installing it. Capacity and power output will return to normal once the cells are above 15°C.
