Fits Efco Sirius 1200 cordless lawn mower; replaces OEM battery pack for 25.2V cutting deck system.
25.2V lithium-ion pack rated 3400mAh; delivers full motor torque on thick turf without voltage sag.
Connector seats vertically into mower chassis with positive contact pins; locking tab engages from the side.
Bench testing showed BMS stable under blade motor inrush; no cutoff during full-load grass engagement cycles.
Before first spring use, bring the battery indoors overnight if outdoor temperature is below 10°C — cold cells raise internal resistance and can trip the BMS on blade motor startup.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Efco Sirius 1200 — 25.2V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This 25.2V 3400mAh lithium-ion battery is a direct replacement for the Efco Sirius 1200 cordless lawn mower. It slots into the Sirius 1200's battery bay and powers the cutting deck and blade motor. Capacity is 85.68Wh — matching the original specification.

  • Sirius 1200 blade motor compatibility: The Sirius 1200 blade motor draws a sharp inrush current on startup. This pack's BMS is rated to handle that spike without nuisance tripping under normal grass conditions. The 25.2V nominal voltage matches the motor controller's expected input rail.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through repeated load sequences simulating blade start, run, and stop. The BMS held across all cycles, and cell balance remained within spec at full discharge.
  • Seasonal storage tip: Before the first cut of the season, bring this battery indoors overnight if temperatures are below 10°C. Cold Li-ion cells carry higher internal resistance, and the blade motor's inrush current can trip the BMS on a cold pack before the mower even reaches the lawn.

BMS cutoff on thick grass or wet-grass blade load

The Sirius 1200 blade motor pulls significantly more current through dense or wet grass than on a dry, short lawn. If the instantaneous draw exceeds the BMS threshold — typically caused by bogged blades or a low blade-speed condition — the pack will cut power as a protection measure. This is the BMS doing its job, not a battery fault. Let the pack rest for two minutes, then restart on a lighter section of lawn to reset the BMS state.

Charger not accepting the pack after winter garage storage

If the Sirius 1200 battery sat in a cold garage over winter without a maintenance charge, cell voltage may have dropped below the charger's acceptance threshold — typically around 20V for a 25.2V pack. The charger sees this as a fault and refuses to engage. Some chargers have a recovery or "wake" mode — insert the pack, wait 30 seconds, then remove and reinsert. If the charger still shows a fault, check cell voltage with a multimeter; any reading above 18V means recovery is likely possible with a compatible balance charger set to Li-ion recovery mode.

Frequently Asked Questions

The mower cuts out halfway through a row, then starts again after a minute — what's causing that?

This is thermal protection activating in the BMS, not a faulty battery. The blade motor builds heat in the pack during sustained cutting, and the BMS cuts power once internal temperature hits its limit. Allow a five-minute cooldown with the battery removed from the mower so airflow can reach the cells. After five cycles, the cells condition and thermal headroom improves slightly.

The charger light flashes red and won't charge the pack after it sat unused all winter — is the battery dead?

Not necessarily. Self-discharge over winter can pull cell voltage below the charger's acceptance threshold, triggering a fault indication. Insert the pack, wait 30 seconds, then remove and reinsert — some chargers will attempt a trickle recovery on the second insertion. If the pack reads above 18V on a multimeter at the battery terminals, a Li-ion compatible balance charger in recovery mode will typically bring it back to normal charge acceptance.

The mower feels noticeably weaker on the first cold morning of spring — is something wrong with the new battery?

Nothing is wrong. Li-ion cells lose available capacity when cold — below 10°C, internal resistance rises and the cells cannot deliver full current to the blade motor. The mower will feel sluggish until the pack warms up from use, usually after two to three minutes of cutting. Bring the battery indoors for at least an hour before use on mornings below 10°C and the drop in cutting force largely disappears.
