Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Stiga Autoclip 125 / 200 Series — 25.2V Li-ion Replacement Battery (1126-1032-01)
This 25.2V 3400mAh Li-ion battery replaces the original pack in the Stiga Autoclip 125, 127, 200, and 223 robotic lawn mowers, along with nine additional Autoclip models. It matches the original voltage rail and connector, so it slots into the existing bay without modification. Capacity is 3400mAh (85.68Wh), identical to the factory specification.
- Autoclip series compatibility: The Autoclip 125 through 223 range shares a common 25.2V battery platform, the same physical housing, connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol. One replacement covers the full lineup without adapters or firmware workarounds.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through blade-motor inrush loads and navigation draws. The BMS held cutoff thresholds within spec across repeated high-draw events and returned to standby cleanly after each load spike.
- Seasonal storage tip: If the mower has been docked and unused through winter, check the pack voltage before placing it on charge — a cell that has self-discharged below roughly 2.5V per cell may cause the charger to show a fault. Bring the mower indoors for two hours first, then attempt charging.
Charger showing fault after the mower sat in the garage all winter
Li-ion cells self-discharge slowly over months. A pack left in a cold garage from October to March can drop below the charger's minimum acceptance voltage — typically around 15V for a 25.2V pack. The Stiga charger reads the pack voltage on connection and refuses to charge if it falls below that threshold, showing a red fault light instead of the green charge cycle. Bring the mower and battery indoors to 18–20°C for two to four hours, then reconnect to the charger. This allows the cells to recover enough voltage for the charger to accept the pack and begin a normal cycle.
Mower cuts out mid-row then restarts on its own after a short pause
This is thermal protection activating, not a battery fault. When the blade motor works through thick or wet grass, current draw spikes and heat builds in the pack faster than the BMS expects under normal lawn conditions. Once internal temperature crosses the BMS cutoff threshold, the pack shuts output and waits for the cells to cool. The mower restarts automatically once temperature drops back into range — this typically takes three to five minutes on a flat surface in open air. If it happens repeatedly in a single session, reduce the mowing zone or schedule shorter overlapping runs rather than one long pass through dense growth.

Frequently Asked Questions
The charger won't start a charge cycle on the new battery — it just shows a fault light straight away. What's wrong?
The charger checks pack voltage on connection and won't initiate a charge if the cells are below its acceptance threshold, which can happen if the battery arrived partially discharged after shipping. Leave the battery in a room at 18–20°C for two hours before connecting it to the charger. This lets the cells stabilise at a higher resting voltage — enough for the charger to recognise the pack and begin the charge cycle. If the fault persists after warming, check that the connector pins are fully seated and free of debris.
The new battery feels noticeably warmer than the old one did after a mowing session — is something wrong?
New Li-ion cells run slightly warmer during the first five charge and discharge cycles while the electrodes condition. This is normal and the pack temperature will settle after those initial cycles. The BMS monitors cell temperature continuously and will cut output before any unsafe threshold is reached. If the pack is too hot to hold comfortably after a standard mow — not just warm — check that the battery bay vents on the underside of the mower are clear of grass clippings.
The mower loses power on the first run of spring but seems fine after that — is this the battery or the mower?
Cold Li-ion cells have higher internal resistance, which means the blade motor's inrush current can momentarily sag the pack voltage below the BMS cutoff on a cold morning. The mower cuts out, the cells warm up slightly, and it restarts — which is why it performs fine after that first run. Before the first spring use, bring the battery indoors overnight if the temperature is below 10°C. A battery at room temperature will handle motor-start inrush without tripping the BMS on the first pass.
