Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Electrolux ERV7210TG / 900257877 Series — 7.2V Li-ion Replacement Battery (OSBP72LI25)
This is a 7.2V, 2600mAh Li-ion battery pack for Electrolux cordless stick vacuums. It fits the 900257877, ERV7210TG, ERV7200DB, 900257983, and over 28 additional models that share the OSBP72LI25 battery specification. Capacity figures come from the product data — 18.72Wh total energy.
- ERV7210TG and 900257877 platform compatibility: These models share a common 7.2V motor rail and the same BMS handshake protocol. The connector and cell configuration are identical across the cluster, which is why one pack covers such a wide model range.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through charge and discharge cycles on the ERV7210TG platform. The BMS engaged correctly at low-voltage cutoff and accepted a full charge without tripping the protection circuit.
- Dock charging behaviour on stick vacuums: Do not leave this vacuum sitting on the charging dock permanently. Continuous dock charging causes capacity fade significantly faster than charging only when the pack is depleted. Charge to full, then remove from the dock.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low
This is a voltage sag issue, not a capacity failure. When the filter is partially blocked or the brush roll is restricted, the motor draws more current than rated. The pack voltage drops under that load spike, and the motor slows — even though the indicator still shows charge remaining. Clean the filter and check the brush roll for hair wrap before replacing the battery. A healthy pack at rest should read 8.1–8.4V off the charger.
Motor cutting out mid-clean and then recovering after a pause
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When suction is restricted — blocked filter, clogged cyclone, or a full dust cup — the motor labours and draws sustained high current. The BMS cuts power to protect the cells, then resets once current demand drops. Clear the blockage completely, then restart the vacuum. If it trips again on a clean filter, the cells may have aged below the point where they can sustain motor-start current.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Electrolux stick vac loses suction halfway through cleaning but the battery light still shows full — is this the battery or a clog?
It's usually both — a partial blockage forces the motor to draw more current, which causes the pack voltage to sag under load even though the indicator reads fine. Clean the filter and clear the brush roll first. If suction recovers, the restriction was the cause. If the pack still sags on a clean, unblocked vacuum, measure resting voltage — a worn pack reads below 7.8V off the charger.
The vacuum cuts out after 30 seconds of heavy carpet use, then works again after sitting for a minute — what's happening?
The BMS is tripping on an overcurrent event during the motor-start surge on thick carpet. On a restricted or loaded intake, current spikes beyond the BMS threshold and it shuts down to protect the cells. Check the dust cup is empty, the filter is clean, and the cyclone is clear before each session. If it still trips on a freshly serviced vacuum, the cells can no longer deliver the peak current the motor demands on start-up.
My replacement OSBP72LI25 pack isn't being recognised by the charger — the charge light doesn't come on at all.
The charger expects a specific BMS handshake before initiating the charge cycle. If the replacement pack was stored for a long time, the cells may have self-discharged below the BMS re-initialisation threshold. Connect the pack to the charger and leave it for 10–15 minutes — some chargers will detect a deeply discharged cell and enter a recovery pre-charge mode. If the light still does not activate, check the charger contacts are clean and making firm contact with the battery terminals.
