Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

AEG Electrolux Osiris — 7.2V Li-ion Replacement Battery (S91-0400410-SU2)
This 7.2V, 2600mAh Li-ion battery pack replaces the original power cell in the AEG Electrolux Osiris cordless handheld vacuum cleaner. It fits the Osiris series including model references 900258195, RX7-1-TM, and 900277268, among others. Voltage and capacity match OEM specification exactly — no modifications needed to fit the battery compartment.
- Osiris series compatibility: These models share the same 7.2V power rail, physical form factor, and BMS handshake protocol. The replacement cell uses the same connector pinout and communication signals the Osiris charger expects, so the charging circuit recognises the pack without fault codes.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through full charge and discharge on an Osiris unit, monitoring BMS response across motor start, sustained suction load, and filter-restriction conditions. The BMS held within expected current limits and did not trigger a false overcurrent cutoff during any test phase.
- Dock charging habit for the Osiris: Do not leave the Osiris sitting on the charging dock between every use. Continuous trickle charging degrades Li-ion cell capacity significantly faster than charge-then-remove cycles. Charge fully, remove from the dock, and only return it when the battery is depleted.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low
This happens when the motor draws more current than the BMS allows under restricted airflow — not because the battery is empty. A partially blocked filter forces the motor to work harder, pulling current above the BMS overcurrent threshold. The BMS responds by reducing output voltage to protect the cells, which drops suction noticeably while the indicator still shows charge remaining. Clean or replace the filter first and test again — suction should stabilise at full strength through most of the charge cycle.
Motor cuts out mid-use then recovers after a short pause
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When airflow is blocked — by a full dust container, clogged filter, or a floor nozzle obstruction — the motor draws a sustained current spike the BMS cannot allow. It cuts power to protect the cells, then resets once current demand drops. The fix is not a new battery. Empty the dust container, check the filter, and clear any nozzle blockage before restarting. If the cutout still occurs on a clean, unobstructed vacuum, check cell voltage at rest — it should read above 7.0V.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Osiris has noticeably less suction than it used to, but the battery indicator still shows nearly full — what's going on?
A degraded battery cell loses voltage under load even when it reads full at rest — this is called voltage sag. The motor doesn't get the full 7.2V it needs under suction load, so airflow drops before the indicator registers low. First rule out a blocked filter or full dust container, since those cause identical symptoms. If the machine is clean and airflow is still weak, the original battery has likely degraded beyond recovery and this replacement cell will restore normal suction performance.
I left my Osiris on the charging dock every day and now it barely holds charge — did the charger damage the battery?
Yes — continuous dock charging is the most common cause of early capacity fade in cordless vacuums. The Osiris charger applies a trickle charge once the pack is full, and sustained trickle charging degrades Li-ion cells faster than standard charge cycles. The original battery is not recoverable once capacity has dropped this far. With the replacement cell, charge fully and remove the vacuum from the dock — only return it when the battery is depleted.
The Osiris won't charge at all after fitting the replacement battery — the charger light doesn't respond. What do I check first?
The Osiris charger expects a BMS handshake signal from the battery pack before it begins charging. If the contacts between the battery and the vacuum's terminal block are dirty or slightly misaligned, the handshake fails and the charger shows no response. Remove the battery, clean the gold contact pads on both the battery and the vacuum with a dry cloth, reseat the pack firmly, then place on the dock. If the charger still does not respond, check that resting cell voltage reads at least 6.0V with a multimeter — below that threshold, the BMS may have entered deep-discharge lockout and will need a slow recovery charge before normal charging resumes.
