Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Hosome TPH07 — 22.2V Li-ion Replacement Battery (UR18650F6S)
This 22.2V, 2500mAh Li-ion battery pack replaces the UR18650F6S cell in the Hosome TPH07 cordless stick vacuum. It restores suction power when the original pack has degraded or stopped holding a charge. Voltage and cell count match the TPH07 motor controller directly.
- TPH07 motor rail compatibility: The TPH07 runs a 22.2V six-cell Li-ion configuration — six UR18650F6S cells in series. That series voltage is what the motor controller expects at startup. A mismatched pack voltage causes the controller to reject the battery before the motor ever spins.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through full charge and discharge cycles on the TPH07 platform. The BMS handled overcurrent events during simulated filter blockage without nuisance tripping, and cell balancing stayed within spec across all six cells at end of charge.
- Dock charging habit on the TPH07: Do not leave the TPH07 sitting on its charging dock between uses. The dock does not cut trickle current once the pack is full. Continuous low-level charging accelerates capacity fade in Li-ion cells faster than normal discharge cycling does. Charge fully, then remove from the dock.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low on the TPH07
This happens because the TPH07 motor draws more current under load — especially on carpet or when the filter is partially blocked. As cell voltage sags under that load, the motor controller reduces power before the indicator registers low. The indicator reads resting cell voltage, not load voltage, so the display lags behind what the motor actually sees. Check and clean the filter first — a restricted filter forces the motor to work harder and triggers voltage sag earlier in the discharge cycle.
Motor cutting out and recovering mid-clean on carpet
When the TPH07 is used on heavy carpet with a dirty filter, airflow restriction causes the motor to spike its current draw. The BMS reads that overcurrent event and trips to protect the cells — the motor cuts out, then resets within a few seconds once current drops. This is not a faulty battery; it is the BMS doing its job under abnormal load. Clear the filter, check the brush roll for tangled debris, then resume use — if the cutout stops, the restriction was the cause.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Hosome TPH07 seems to lose suction well before the battery light shows low — is the new battery already failing?
The battery indicator on the TPH07 reads resting cell voltage, not voltage under motor load. When the filter is even partially blocked, the motor draws above its rated current and cell voltage sags under that load — suction drops while the indicator still reads healthy. Clean the filter and brush roll before assuming the pack is at fault. If suction holds after cleaning, the pack is fine.
The TPH07 motor keeps cutting out for a few seconds then coming back on — what is causing this?
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a cell failure. The TPH07's BMS cuts power to the motor when current spikes past the pack's rated threshold — typically caused by a blocked filter forcing the motor to work against restricted airflow. Clear the filter, remove any debris from the brush roll, and the trips should stop. If cutouts continue on a clean filter with a new pack, check that the battery contacts are seating fully in the TPH07 housing.
The replacement battery seems to have far less capacity than it should after only a few weeks — what went wrong?
Leaving the TPH07 on the charging dock continuously after each use is the most common cause of early capacity fade with this pack. The TPH07 dock does not terminate trickle current once the pack reaches full charge, so cells absorb low-level current indefinitely. That sustained overcharge degrades Li-ion cell capacity faster than normal discharge cycling. Charge the pack to full, remove it from the dock, and only return it when depleted — capacity should stabilise at that point.
