Fits Hoover and Haier cordless stick vacuums; replaces OEM battery CS-HRN252VX.
25.9V, 2500mAh lithium-ion delivers full motor voltage under sustained suction load.
Connector slides straight into dock with positive contact; locking tab secures after seating.
We bench-tested this cell in a Hoover HH710 — BMS accepted handshake without fault codes.
Do not leave the vacuum on the charging dock permanently; continuous trickle charge degrades capacity significantly faster than removing after full charge.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Candy Hoover Haier — 25.9V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This 25.9V, 2500mAh lithium-ion battery fits Hoover and Haier cordless stick and handheld vacuum cleaners sold under the Candy group. It replaces the original pack when the existing battery no longer holds a charge or causes the vacuum to cut out mid-use. Voltage and cell count match the original, so the BMS handshake proceeds without errors on compatible units.

  • Hoover and Haier cordless vacuum platform: These vacuums share a 25.9V (7-cell) lithium-ion architecture across multiple stick and handheld configurations. The battery connector and BMS communication protocol are consistent across this voltage rail, which is why one pack covers both brand lines.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through charge and discharge cycles on a 25.9V cordless vacuum unit. The BMS held cutoff thresholds at both ends — no false low-voltage trips during motor start and no overcharge flags at the top of the charge curve.
  • Dock charging behaviour: Do not leave this vacuum on the charging dock permanently. Cordless vacuums on continuous dock charge develop capacity fade significantly faster than those charged only when depleted. Charge to full and remove from dock.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low

This happens when the motor draws more current than the BMS expects under load — usually caused by a partially blocked filter, not a failing battery. A restricted filter forces the motor to work harder, pulling amps above the pack's rated discharge threshold. The BMS interprets this as an overcurrent condition and reduces output before the fuel gauge registers low. Clear the filter first, then retest. If suction stabilises, the battery was not the cause.

Motor cutting out briefly and then recovering during use

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When suction is sustained against a blockage — carpet pile, debris jam, or a clogged pre-motor filter — current draw spikes. The BMS cuts power to protect the cells, then resets once load drops. The fix is to clear the blockage and clean the filter before assuming the pack is faulty. If the behaviour continues on a clear path, check that the terminal voltage under no load reads at or above 24V.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Hoover Haier vacuum loses suction quickly but the battery indicator still shows charged — what's happening?

A partially blocked filter is the most common cause. When airflow is restricted, the motor pulls more current than rated, which causes the BMS to throttle output even though cell voltage is still high. Clean the pre-motor and post-motor filters and run the vacuum again. If suction holds steady after that, the battery is not the issue.

The vacuum ran fine on the old battery but cuts out and restarts every few seconds with the new pack — is the battery faulty?

This is usually a BMS handshake or charger compatibility issue on the first cycle. Run the new pack through one full charge using the original Hoover or Haier charger, not a third-party unit. Some replacement cells need a complete charge cycle before the BMS settles into normal operation. After a full charge, check that the terminal voltage reads between 25V and 29.4V before loading the motor.

The replacement battery seems weaker after only a few weeks — runtime has dropped noticeably already.

Continuous dock charging is the most likely cause. Leaving a lithium-ion cordless vacuum on the dock between every use exposes the cells to a slow trickle charge that accelerates capacity fade. Charge the pack fully, remove it from the dock, and only return it when depleted. Capacity stabilises significantly when charge cycles are controlled this way rather than left to float at full voltage indefinitely.
