Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Eurobot XR210 — 14.4V Ni-MH Replacement Battery

This is a 14.4V, 3500mAh Ni-MH battery pack for the Eurobot XR210 cordless vacuum cleaner. It replaces the original pack when capacity has dropped or the vacuum no longer holds a useful charge. Voltage and cell chemistry match the XR210's motor and charging circuit exactly.

  • XR210 motor compatibility: The XR210 runs a brushed DC motor rated at 14.4V. Ni-MH chemistry at this voltage suits the motor's start-up current draw and the vacuum's charge management circuit. Dropping to a lower voltage pack causes the motor to underperform; exceeding it risks charger faults.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through full charge and discharge on a 14.4V Ni-MH test rig. The BMS held stable under simulated suction-motor load, with no premature cutoff at the rated 3500mAh draw rate.
  • Dock charging habit on the XR210: Do not leave the XR210 sitting on the charging dock between uses. Ni-MH cells on continuous trickle charge develop capacity fade faster than cells charged only when depleted. Charge to full, then remove the vacuum from the dock.

Cordless vacuum losing suction before the battery indicator shows low

On the XR210, suction can drop noticeably while the battery indicator still reads mid-charge. This happens because the motor draws more current when the filter is partially blocked — voltage at the cells sags under the extra load even though stored capacity remains. The BMS reads voltage, not actual charge remaining, so the indicator lags behind the real state. Clean or replace the filter first; if suction recovers immediately, the battery is not the cause.

Motor cuts out mid-use and then recovers after a short pause

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When suction is restricted — blocked filter, blocked nozzle, carpet pile jamming the brush roll — the motor pulls sustained current above the BMS threshold and the pack shuts output to protect the cells. After a 10–20 second rest the BMS resets and the vacuum starts again. Clear the blockage, then check that filter airflow is unrestricted. If trips continue on a clean filter with a new pack, the motor itself may be drawing above spec.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does my XR210 lose suction halfway through a clean even though the battery light shows it's still charged?

The battery indicator on the XR210 reads cell voltage, not actual remaining capacity — and voltage sags when the motor is working harder than normal. A partially blocked filter forces the motor to draw more current, which drags voltage down and reduces suction before the indicator catches up. Pull the filter out and check it for blockage; if suction returns to full strength after cleaning the filter, the battery is fine. If suction is still weak on a clean filter with a new pack, check the nozzle and brush roll for obstructions.

My XR210 shuts off during use, then starts again after I wait a minute — what's causing that?

That pattern is a BMS overcurrent trip. When airflow through the vacuum is restricted, the motor pulls sustained current above the pack's protection threshold and the BMS cuts output to prevent cell damage. It resets after a short rest, which is why the vacuum starts again. Clear any blockage at the nozzle, brush roll, or filter before continuing — if trips keep happening on a fully unobstructed machine with this replacement pack, have the motor current draw checked, as it may be running above its rated spec.

The new battery pack charges fine but runtime feels noticeably shorter than expected — why?

A partially blocked filter is the most common cause on the XR210: restricted airflow makes the motor draw more current than rated, burning through capacity faster than the vacuum's design assumes. We measured noticeably higher current draw on the bench with even a moderately clogged filter compared to a clean one. Wash or replace the filter and run the pack through two full charge-discharge cycles before judging its capacity. Also confirm you are removing the vacuum from the dock once charging is complete — leaving it docked continuously causes Ni-MH cells to fade faster than normal cycling would.
