Fits KV8 210C and 210XR handheld vacuums; replaces OEM battery pack CS-KSB002VX.
14.4V Ni-MH at 3500mAh delivers sustained motor power across floor and upholstery cleaning cycles.
Connector slides straight into dock slot with positive terminal forward; locking tab secures on insertion.
We bench-tested the pack on a 210C motor load — BMS remained stable through sustained suction draws with no early cutoff.
Do not leave this vacuum on the charging dock continuously once fully charged — constant trickle charging degrades Ni-MH capacity within weeks; charge to full and remove from dock until next use.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

KV8 210C / 210XR — 14.4V Ni-MH Replacement Battery

This is a 14.4V Ni-MH battery pack rated at 3500mAh (50.4Wh), built to fit the KV8 210C and 210XR cordless vacuum cleaners. It replaces the original pack when capacity has dropped and the vacuum no longer holds a useful charge. No OEM part number is published for this model — fit is confirmed by voltage, connector, and physical dimensions.

  • 210C and 210XR compatibility: Both models run the same 14.4V motor rail, use the same battery bay dimensions (90.06 × 69.53 × 45.45mm), and share the same connector orientation. One replacement cell covers both variants without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through repeated discharge and charge sequences on a 14.4V Ni-MH test rig. The BMS maintained stable voltage delivery across the full discharge curve and responded correctly to charger termination signals with no false cutoffs.
  • Dock charging habit on the 210C: Do not leave the 210C sitting on the charging dock continuously between uses. Ni-MH cells in cordless vacuums develop capacity fade noticeably faster under constant trickle charge than cells charged only when depleted. Charge to full, then remove the unit from the dock.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low on the 210C

This happens when the motor is pulling more current than rated — usually because a partially blocked filter is forcing the motor to work harder against restricted airflow. The battery voltage sags under that elevated draw even though the pack still has capacity remaining. The vacuum interprets this as normal operation, so the indicator stays mid-range while actual suction falls off. Clean or replace the filter first; if suction recovers, the battery is not the cause.

Motor cutting out mid-clean and recovering after a short pause

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When the motor sustains a high-draw condition — typically caused by a blocked brush roll or a clogged post-filter — current spikes past the BMS protection threshold and the pack shuts output. A short pause lets the BMS reset and the motor restarts, only to cut again if the restriction remains. Clear the brush roll and inspect both filters before assuming the battery is at fault. If the cutout persists on an unobstructed vacuum, verify pack voltage under load sits above 12.5V.

Frequently Asked Questions

My KV8 210C loses suction halfway through a clean but the battery light still shows charged — what's happening?

This is voltage sag under load, not a dead pack. A restricted filter forces the motor to draw more current than rated, which pulls the battery voltage down even when capacity remains. The indicator reads charge state, not the voltage the motor is actually seeing. Clean or replace the filter and check the brush roll for tangled debris before swapping the battery.

The 210C motor keeps cutting out and restarting on its own — is the battery failing?

Usually not. That cut-and-recover pattern is the BMS tripping on an overcurrent spike, which happens when airflow is restricted and the motor strains against the blockage. The BMS resets after a few seconds, the motor restarts, and the cycle repeats until you clear the restriction. Remove and clean both filters and clear any debris from the brush roll; if the cutout stops, the battery is fine. If it continues on an unobstructed vacuum, check that pack voltage under load is holding above 12.5V.

My replacement battery charges fully but the 210C runs noticeably less time than the original did when new — is the new pack defective?

A blocked post-motor filter is the most common cause — it raises motor current draw, which burns through battery capacity faster than the rated load. Ni-MH packs also need two or three full charge-discharge cycles before they reach full rated capacity, so a brand-new cell will underperform on its first use. Run two full depletes followed by full charges before drawing conclusions. If runtime is still short after conditioning and a clean filter, verify the charger is reaching full termination — the pack should measure at least 16.5V across the terminals when removed immediately after charge.
