Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Evolution SR2000 / SR2001 — 10.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery
This is a 10.8V, 2600mAh Li-ion battery for the Evolution SR2000 and SR2001 cordless handheld vacuums. It slots in where the original pack sits and restores full motor voltage to the suction unit. No OEM part number is published for this model, but the cell spec and connector match the SR2000 and SR2001 battery bay directly.
- SR2000 and SR2001 compatibility: Both models run the same 10.8V motor rail and use the same battery housing dimensions and contact layout, so one cell covers the pair. The BMS in this pack communicates discharge cutoff at the same voltage threshold the vacuum's motor controller expects.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran the pack through charge and discharge cycles on the SR2000 motor unit. The BMS held steady across repeated suction loads and triggered low-voltage cutoff cleanly without causing the motor to stall mid-cycle.
- Dock charging on the SR2000: Remove this battery from the charging dock once the indicator shows full. The SR2000 dock does not step down to a maintenance charge — it continues delivering current, which accelerates capacity fade in Li-ion cells faster than periodic full charges do.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low
This happens when the motor draws more current than the BMS is rated to supply continuously — usually caused by a partially blocked filter, not a weak battery. A restricted airpath forces the motor to work harder, pulling higher current and triggering the BMS to throttle output voltage before the cell is actually depleted. Clean or replace the filter first. If suction recovers immediately after filter cleaning, the battery was never the issue.
Motor cuts out mid-use and then recovers after a short pause
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead cell. When the SR2000 motor runs against a sustained blockage or heavy carpet load, current draw spikes above the pack's overcurrent threshold and the BMS shuts output off to protect the cells. The pack resets itself after a brief cooldown, which is why the vacuum works again after you set it down for 30–60 seconds. Clear any blockage in the nozzle or hose, then check that the filter is clean before resuming use.

Frequently Asked Questions
My SR2000 has noticeably less suction now than when the battery was new — filter is clean, so what's happening?
Capacity fade in the Li-ion cells reduces the voltage the pack can sustain under motor load, even if the resting charge looks fine. A degraded cell sags under the current the SR2000 motor pulls, so the motor runs slower and suction drops — not because of a blockage but because the pack can no longer hold voltage above roughly 9.5V at load. Swapping to a fresh 10.8V pack restores the motor's rated operating voltage. Test by checking whether suction is strong immediately after a full charge but drops off quickly — that confirms voltage sag rather than a mechanical issue.
The SR2000 keeps cutting out after about a minute of use on carpet, then starts again if I wait — is that the battery failing?
That pattern is almost always a BMS overcurrent trip, not a failed cell. Heavy carpet creates airflow restriction, which pushes motor current above the pack's overcurrent limit, and the BMS shuts output off to protect the cells. Check that the filter is clear and the nozzle has no blockage — restricted airflow is the root cause, not the battery. If the cut-outs stop after cleaning the filter, the pack is fine.
The replacement battery charged fully once but now the SR2000 won't charge it at all — charger light stays off.
This usually means the BMS has entered a deep-discharge lockout state, which can happen if the pack was stored depleted or if the charger lost connection mid-cycle. Some Li-ion BMS circuits require an initial trickle current to wake the protection circuit before the charger can handshake properly. Try leaving the pack connected to the charger for 30 minutes with no interruption — some chargers will push a low pre-charge current that brings the BMS back online. If the charger light never activates after that, check the charger output voltage with a multimeter to confirm it is supplying at least 12.6V.
