Fits Medion MD16192 handheld vacuum; replaces OEM battery ICP186500-15F-M-3S1P-S and UR18650ZT-3S1P-S.
10.8V lithium-ion pack delivers 2600mAh capacity; sustains motor voltage under suction load on carpets.
Connector seats vertically into battery bay with single locking tab; no polarity reversal possible.
BMS accepted full charge on first insertion; voltage held steady under sustained motor draw on bench.
Do not leave this vacuum on the charging dock continuously—trickle charge degrades capacity fast; charge fully and remove immediately.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Medion MD16192 — 10.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (ICP186500-15F-M-3S1P-S)

This is a 10.8V, 2600mAh lithium-ion battery for the Medion MD16192 cordless handheld vacuum cleaner. It replaces OEM part numbers ICP186500-15F-M-3S1P-S and UR18650ZT-3S1P-S. Fit the battery, charge fully, and the vacuum's motor and suction function return to normal operation.

  • MD16192 platform fit: The MD16192 runs a 10.8V three-cell series pack with a specific BMS handshake. This battery matches that cell configuration and connector pinout, so the vacuum's protection circuit recognises the pack and allows normal charge and discharge cycles.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through full charge and discharge cycles on the MD16192 platform. The BMS held stable under motor-start inrush, and the protection circuit tripped correctly at the low-voltage cutoff threshold before any cell damage occurred.
  • Dock charging on this vacuum: Remove the vacuum from the charging dock as soon as the charge cycle completes. The MD16192 dock does not cut power after reaching full charge — leaving the pack on continuous trickle charge accelerates cell degradation faster than normal use cycles alone.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low

A partially blocked filter forces the motor to draw more current than its rated load. The battery's BMS reads this elevated draw as a voltage sag event and begins throttling output to protect the cells — even when the indicator still shows charge remaining. The vacuum feels like a dying battery, but the root cause is airflow restriction. Clean or replace the filter first, then recheck suction performance before assuming the battery has failed.

Motor cuts out mid-clean and then recovers after a short pause

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When the suction path is blocked — packed filter, tangled brush roll, or debris obstruction — motor current spikes above the pack's discharge limit and the BMS shuts the output off. Letting the vacuum sit resets the protection circuit, which is why suction returns after a pause. Clear the blockage completely, then test at full charge. If the trip still happens on an unobstructed vacuum with a fresh filter, check pack voltage under load — it should hold above 9.5V during normal operation.

Frequently Asked Questions

My MD16192 loses suction halfway through cleaning but the battery light still shows full — is the battery faulty?

Not necessarily. A clogged filter forces the motor to draw more current than rated, which causes the BMS to sag output voltage even when charge remains in the cells. Remove and clean the filter thoroughly, then retest suction from a full charge. If suction holds consistently after that, the battery is fine — the filter was the load restriction.

The vacuum cuts out during use, then works again after I leave it for a minute — what's happening?

The BMS is tripping on an overcurrent spike, then resetting once the circuit cools. This usually happens when the brush roll is tangled or the filter is partially blocked, pushing motor current above the pack's discharge limit. Clear any obstruction, replace the filter if it's overdue, and run the vacuum again. If it still trips on a clear path, measure pack voltage under load — a healthy 10.8V pack should not drop below 9.5V during normal suction.

The replacement battery isn't charging on the MD16192 dock — the charger just sits idle with no indicator light.

Some chargers on this platform require the BMS to respond with a valid handshake before initiating charge current. If the replacement pack has been stored deeply discharged, the cell voltage may have dropped below the charger's detection threshold. Try a brief direct charge at 0.5A using a compatible li-ion charger to bring the pack above 10V, then return it to the dock. Once the BMS wakes and registers a valid voltage, the dock should resume normal charging.
