Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Explay Infinity / Infinity II — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery
This is a 3.7V, 1100mAh Li-ion cell for the Explay Infinity and Infinity II smartphones. It replaces a degraded or failed original battery in either model. Voltage and capacity match the stock specification — 4.07Wh total energy.
- Infinity and Infinity II compatibility: Both models share the same battery bay dimensions (58.93 × 46.05 × 5.23 mm), connector pinout, and 3.7V nominal voltage rail. The BMS handshake is identical across both, so one cell covers the pair without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the bench. The BMS held cutoff correctly at the low-voltage threshold and accepted a full charge without thermal event or early termination.
- First-cycle calibration tip: On first use after installation, disable any fast-charge setting and run one full discharge-to-charge cycle at standard rate. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging is applied to an uncalibrated cell.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell
This is a voltage cliff failure — the cell voltage drops sharply under load from the modem or display before the fuel gauge predicts it will. The OS reads 25% but the cell can no longer sustain the voltage rail under that current draw. The fix is a full recalibration cycle: drain the phone until it shuts itself off, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without using the device. After that cycle, the coulomb counter has a real discharge curve to work from and percentage readings stabilise.
OS reporting wrong battery percentage after cell swap
The fuel gauge IC on the Explay Infinity was calibrated to the discharge curve of the original cell. A new cell with different internal resistance throws those reference points off immediately. You'll see jumps of 10–15% or a reading that stays frozen for long stretches. Run one full cycle — drain to auto-shutoff, charge to 100% at standard rate — and the IC will write a new baseline. Check the percentage reading holds steady under a screen-on load after that cycle; if it still jumps, repeat the cycle once more.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Explay Infinity won't turn on at all after sitting in a drawer for months — is the new battery dead?
It's almost certainly a BMS lockout, not a dead cell. When a Li-ion cell drops below roughly 2.5V from extended storage, the battery management system locks output to prevent damage. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a PC USB port — and leave it for 30–40 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC needs to trickle enough current into the cell to bring it above the BMS release threshold before the phone will respond. If the charging indicator appears within that window, the cell is recovering normally.
Fast charging stopped working the first time I plugged in after fitting this replacement — what happened?
The proprietary charge protocol on the Explay Infinity negotiates with the BMS on the first connection. A new cell with a freshly initialised BMS sometimes rejects the elevated current on that first handshake and falls back to standard 5V charging. Unplug, wait 10 seconds, and reconnect. On most units this is enough for the charge IC to renegotiate. If fast charge still doesn't engage, complete one full standard-rate charge cycle — after that the BMS accepts the higher current profile consistently.
The battery percentage jumps around erratically — it was at 60%, then jumped to 40%, then back to 55% in minutes.
The fuel gauge IC is recalibrating against a cell it has no reference data for yet. Every Li-ion cell has a slightly different voltage-to-capacity curve, and the Infinity's coulomb counter is still using the curve from the old battery. Erratic jumps of 10–20% are normal in the first few charge cycles. Run two complete discharge-to-charge cycles at standard rate — no fast charge — and the IC will lock onto the new curve. After the second cycle, percentage readings should track smoothly under normal use.
