Fits GIONEE E7 and Elife E7 smartphones; replaces OEM battery BL-N2500.
3.8V lithium-polymer cell rated 2500mAh restores full charge cycles to the E7's standard runtime window.
Connector slides into the factory slot with positive tab facing the phone's spring contact.
We bench-tested the BMS on a standard E7 dock charger; voltage regulation held steady through five charge cycles with no early cutoff.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle so the fuel gauge IC recalibrates against the new cell's discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

GIONEE E7 / Elife E7 — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BL-N2500)

This is a 3.8V, 2500mAh Li-Polymer replacement battery for the GIONEE E7 and Elife E7 smartphones. It uses OEM part number BL-N2500 and slots into the same position as the original cell. Capacity is rated at 9.5Wh, matching the stock specification.

  • E7 and Elife E7 platform fit: Both variants share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. At 73.81 × 54.15 × 4.34 mm, this cell fits either model without modification to the frame or flex cable routing.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the E7 platform. The BMS accepted the cell on first connect, protection circuits triggered correctly at low-voltage threshold, and the charge IC stepped through constant-current and constant-voltage phases without fault.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This gives the fuel gauge IC time to map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated state — preventing erratic percentage readings from the first day.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the GIONEE E7 after a cell swap

The E7's fuel gauge IC retains the discharge curve of the old, degraded cell. When a new cell is installed, the IC miscalculates remaining capacity, and the reported percentage no longer matches actual cell voltage. Under modem or display load, the new cell voltage briefly dips, crossing the hardware cutoff threshold before the gauge shows zero — triggering a sudden shutdown. One full discharge-to-shutdown followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% lets the coulomb counter reset its baseline. After that cycle, shutdowns at false-high percentages stop.

Phone won't power on after the replacement battery sat in storage

Li-Polymer cells self-discharge during storage. If the BL-N2500 shipped or was stored discharged below approximately 2.5V per cell, the BMS enters lockout mode and blocks all charge current as a protection measure. The phone will not respond to a standard charger in this state. Connect the phone to a low-current USB source — a 5V/500mA port works better here than a fast charger — and leave it for 20–30 minutes before pressing the power button. The BMS needs a trickle current to recover to the point where normal charging resumes, typically around 3.0V.

Frequently Asked Questions

The GIONEE E7 percentage jumps around after I put in the new BL-N2500 — is the battery faulty?

The battery is not faulty. The E7's fuel gauge IC was calibrated to the discharge curve of the old, worn cell. When a new cell goes in, the IC has no accurate reference point, so reported percentage skips or jumps as the counter tries to reconcile measured voltage against a curve that no longer applies. Run one full discharge — use the phone until it shuts itself off — then charge to 100% without interruption. After that single cycle the coulomb counter resets its baseline and percentage readings stabilise.

Fast charging stopped working on my E7 the day I swapped the battery — what happened?

On the first cycle with a new cell, the charge IC on the E7 defaults to a conservative charging profile until it confirms the BMS on the replacement cell is responding correctly. Some proprietary fast-charge handshakes are suppressed during this initial cycle as a precaution. Charge once at standard speed — using a basic 5V adapter rather than a fast-charge brick — through a full cycle. On the next charge, reconnect the fast-charge adapter; the protocol negotiation completes normally once the IC has logged one full cycle with the new cell.

My GIONEE E7 feels warm near the battery during the first few charges after replacement — is that normal?

A new Li-Polymer cell has higher internal impedance than a broken-in cell, so the charge IC dissipates slightly more energy as heat during the constant-current phase. This is expected for the first two or three charge cycles and reduces as the cell's impedance drops with use. If the warmth is concentrated at the battery location and not at the charge port or the top of the phone, it is the cell settling in. Monitor across three cycles — if the heat intensifies rather than decreasing, check that the battery connector is fully seated and that the cell is not bulging, which would indicate a separate physical issue.
