Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

NGM Wemove Legende — 3.7V Li-ion 1100mAh Replacement Battery
This is a 3.7V Li-ion cell rated at 1100mAh (4.07Wh) for the NGM Wemove Legende smartphone. It fits directly into the Wemove Legende handset and restores normal boot and charging behaviour after the original cell has degraded. No OEM part number exists for this cell, but fit and voltage match the Wemove Legende battery bay.
- Wemove Legende fit: The Legende uses a compact 58.93 × 46.05 × 5.23 mm cell footprint with a 3.7V nominal rail. This replacement matches those physical dimensions and the voltage level the phone's charge IC expects, so the BMS handshake completes at first boot.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge, idle draw, and modem-active discharge on a Wemove Legende unit. The BMS held the protection cutoff correctly at both the low-voltage floor and the 4.2V charge ceiling without thermal events.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After fitting this cell, disable fast charging if your carrier app or phone settings allow it. Run one full discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge to 100% uninterrupted. This lets the coulomb counter recalibrate its lookup table against the new cell's actual discharge curve.
Why the Wemove Legende reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap
The Wemove Legende tracks charge state using a fuel gauge IC that builds a voltage-to-capacity map from the original cell's discharge curve. When a new cell goes in, that map no longer matches the actual cell behaviour, so the percentage readout drifts — sometimes jumping 10–15% in either direction. The IC needs at least one uninterrupted full cycle to rewrite its internal table. Until that cycle completes, low-battery warnings may fire early and the percentage display will stay unreliable. Run the phone from 100% down to auto-shutoff, then charge in one session to 100% without interruption.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell
This happens when the cell voltage drops below the modem or screen's minimum sustain voltage under load, even though the fuel gauge still shows charge remaining. The original cell had sagged gradually and the phone's shutdown threshold had never been triggered cleanly — so the OS percentage never matched real voltage behaviour. A new cell with a steeper discharge curve at lower state-of-charge can hit the BMS low-voltage cutoff faster than the fuel gauge expects. After the first full recalibration cycle, the reported percentage and the actual cell voltage align and the early shutdowns stop. If they persist past two full cycles, check that the cell connector is fully seated — a high-contact-resistance joint causes voltage sag under load at the connector itself.

Frequently Asked Questions
The phone won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months — is the cell dead?
The cell has likely tripped its BMS lockout after self-discharging below 2.5V per cell in storage. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a PC USB port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC needs to trickle current into the cell before voltage rises high enough for the BMS to release the lockout and allow a normal boot. If the charging indicator light appears within that window, the cell is recovering. If nothing appears after 45 minutes on a known-good charger, check that the battery connector tab is fully clicked down onto the board header.
Fast charging stopped working after fitting the replacement — the phone only charges slowly now.
On the first cycle after a cell swap, some phones default back to standard charge rates because the BMS on the new cell has not yet confirmed its charge-acceptance profile to the charge IC. Plug into the original NGM charger or a charger that supports the correct voltage — not a generic 5V adapter — and let one full charge complete from near-zero to 100%. After that cycle, the charge IC re-negotiates the higher current rate and fast charging resumes. If it still does not kick in, check the charging port for lint or debris compressing the connector and preventing full pin contact.
The phone feels noticeably warm near the back cover while charging the new battery — is that normal?
A new Li-ion cell has slightly higher internal impedance than a well-cycled cell, so the charge IC pushes voltage across a higher resistance during early cycles, generating more heat than you were used to with the worn original. This is most noticeable during the bulk-charge phase when current is highest. The warmth should reduce after two or three full cycles as the cell's impedance settles. If the back cover becomes hot to the touch rather than warm, or if the phone throttles performance while on charge, remove the case to improve airflow and verify the charger output does not exceed 5V/1A for this device.
