Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

BLU Life Pure XL (L260L / L259L) — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery
This 3.8V, 2500mAh Li-Polymer battery replaces the original cell in the BLU Life Pure XL smartphone, covering model numbers P0010UU, L260L, and L259L. It restores the phone's ability to hold a charge for calls, messaging, and app use. Capacity figures come from the product data — 9.5Wh at 3.8V nominal.
- Life Pure XL model fit (L260L, L259L, P0010UU): These variants share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — 73.81 × 54.15 × 4.34 mm cell with a matching charge-management interface, so the phone's charge IC accepts the new cell without firmware conflict.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the Life Pure XL platform. The BMS engaged cutoff correctly at both ends of the voltage window, and the charge IC accepted the cell without triggering a fault state.
- First-cycle fuel gauge recalibration: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one full discharge-to-charge cycle. The fuel gauge IC calibrates its coulomb counter against the new cell's discharge curve — skipping this step leaves the IC working off the old cell's data, causing percentage jumps or early shutdowns.
Why the Life Pure XL reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap
The fuel gauge IC stores a learned discharge curve from the original cell. When a new cell goes in, that stored curve no longer matches the actual voltage-to-capacity relationship of the replacement. The IC reads voltage, maps it to the old curve, and reports an incorrect percentage. One complete discharge-charge cycle — no fast charging — forces the coulomb counter to relearn the new cell's curve and restores accurate readings.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Life Pure XL
This happens when the cell voltage drops sharply under load — modem transmission or screen-on current creates a draw the cell can't sustain without hitting the BMS undervoltage cutoff. The OS percentage still shows 20–30% because the fuel gauge IC hasn't caught up to the actual voltage cliff. The fix is the same recalibration cycle: one full discharge to auto-off, then a full charge without interruption, which re-anchors the IC's low-voltage threshold to real cell behaviour. After calibration, the phone should reach a stable cutoff near 3.2–3.3V before shutdown.

Frequently Asked Questions
The BLU Life Pure XL won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months — is it dead?
Most likely the cell discharged below the BMS lockout threshold, which sits around 2.5V per cell. At that voltage the BMS cuts output entirely to prevent damage, so the phone sees zero volts and won't boot. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a PC USB port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. If the BMS recovers, a charging indicator will appear and the phone will boot normally once voltage climbs back above 3.0V.
Fast charging stopped working on the Life Pure XL after fitting the new battery — the phone only trickle charges now.
On the first cycle with a new cell, the charge IC sometimes falls back to standard current until it completes one handshake with the BMS. This is a protection behaviour, not a fault. Run one full charge at standard speed, let the phone reach 100%, then unplug and discharge normally. On the second charge cycle, fast charging should resume — if it doesn't, check that the charger itself outputs the correct voltage and amperage for the Life Pure XL's charge protocol.
The battery percentage on the Life Pure XL keeps jumping — it shows 45%, then skips to 60%, then drops back.
The fuel gauge IC is running off a discharge curve calibrated to the old, degraded cell. The new cell has a different internal resistance and voltage profile, so the IC's coulomb counter loses sync and reports erratic values. Do one uninterrupted discharge — use the phone normally until it shuts itself off — then charge to 100% in a single session with fast charging disabled. That sequence forces the IC to reset its learned curve against the actual new cell data, and percentage readings stabilise from the next cycle onward.
