Fits Fun Beat VS600 and VacuSmart 600 cordless vacuums with original battery pack.
This 14.4V 2000mAh Ni-MH pack restores full motor torque on carpet and hard floors.
Connector slides straight into the battery slot with a single locking tab on release.
We bench tested this cell on the VS600 motor draw — BMS held steady through sustained suction cycles with no early shutoff.
Do not leave this vacuum on the charging dock permanently; continuous trickle charging degrades Ni-MH capacity fast — charge to full and remove from dock immediately.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Fun Beat VS600 / VacuSmart 600 — 14.4V Ni-MH Replacement Battery

This is a 14.4V 2000mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the Fun Beat VS600 and VacuSmart 600 cordless vacuum cleaners. It slots into the original battery compartment and restores power to the motor drive circuit. Capacity matches the original 2000mAh specification.

  • VS600 and VacuSmart 600 compatibility: Both models share the same 14.4V motor rail, battery form factor, and connector pinout. The cell pack dimensions — 179 x 51 x 52mm — match the original housing without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through load discharge on the VS600 motor circuit. The Ni-MH cells held voltage above the motor cutoff threshold consistently across full discharge cycles, with no premature BMS trip under standard carpet suction load.
  • Dock charging on Ni-MH cells: Remove the vacuum from the charging dock once the charge cycle completes. Ni-MH cells on continuous trickle charge develop capacity fade faster than those charged only when depleted. Charge to full, then disconnect.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low

Ni-MH cells show a relatively flat discharge curve, so the indicator can still read mid-range while actual cell voltage has already sagged under motor load. On the VS600, a partially blocked filter forces the motor to draw above its rated current. That extra draw accelerates voltage sag, and suction drops well before the indicator catches up. Clean the filter first — if suction recovers, the battery is not the fault.

Motor cutting out mid-use then recovering after a short pause

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When airflow is restricted — blocked filter, clogged brush roll, or a sealed nozzle — the motor draws sustained high current to compensate. The protection circuit cuts power to prevent cell damage. After a brief rest the BMS resets and the vacuum runs again. Clear the restriction, then verify pack voltage sits above 12V at rest before ruling out a cell fault.

Frequently Asked Questions

My VS600 has a new battery but it won't charge — the charger light just stays off. What's wrong?

The Fun Beat VS600 charger reads pack voltage before it starts a charge cycle — if the replacement cells have shipped in a deeply discharged state, the charger sees voltage below its minimum threshold and refuses to engage. Measure the pack voltage at the terminals; if it reads below roughly 10V, the cells need a manual boost charge to bring them back into the charger's acceptance window. A compatible Ni-MH charger set to a low-current recovery mode (around 100mA) for 15–20 minutes is usually enough to raise voltage above the detection threshold. Once the pack reads above 10.5V, the original dock charger should resume normally.

The VS600 loses suction fast on thick carpet even with a clean filter — could the new battery be causing this?

Thick carpet increases airflow restriction, which pushes motor current higher than the rated draw. On Ni-MH cells, sustained high current causes voltage to sag noticeably — the motor runs slower, and suction drops. This is normal Ni-MH behaviour under peak load, not a faulty battery. Confirm the brush roll is clear and check that the nozzle seal is intact; reducing mechanical restriction lowers current draw and keeps motor voltage in the effective range.

The VS600 ran well for the first few weeks but now the charge seems to drain much faster — I haven't changed anything. What causes that?

Ni-MH cells degrade quickly when left on the charging dock continuously between uses. The dock delivers a low trickle current even after the pack is full, and prolonged trickle charging raises cell temperature and breaks down the electrolyte over time. After three to four weeks of continuous docking, usable capacity can drop noticeably. Going forward, charge the pack fully then remove it from the dock — only return it when the vacuum needs charging again.
