Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

GIONEE F105 Series — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BL-N2400A)

This is a 3.8V 2300mAh (8.74Wh) lithium-polymer replacement cell for the GIONEE F105, F105 Dual SIM, and F105 TD-LTE Dual SIM smartphones. It replaces the original BL-N2400A when the installed cell has degraded past usable capacity. Voltage and footprint match the original — 78.90 × 57.64 × 3.60 mm.

  • F105 Dual SIM and TD-LTE variants: All three F105 variants share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and 3.8V nominal voltage rail, so a single BL-N2400A cell covers the full model range without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on an F105 unit. The BMS accepted the charge handshake without fault flags, and the protection circuit tripped correctly at the low-voltage cutoff threshold during deep-discharge testing.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated state.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the F105 after a cell swap

The F105 uses a coulomb-counter-based fuel gauge IC that was trained on the discharge curve of the original aged cell. A new cell holds voltage higher for longer before it drops sharply — the fuel gauge reads this as more remaining capacity than actually exists under load. When the modem or screen pulls a high-current burst, the new cell's voltage drops below the system cutoff threshold while the OS still shows 20–30%. One full discharge-to-shutdown followed by a complete uninterrupted charge resets the coulomb counter to the new cell's actual curve.

F105 not powering on after the replacement battery sat in storage

Li-polymer cells self-discharge in storage. If the BL-N2400A cell dropped below approximately 2.5V per cell during storage, the BMS enters lockout mode and blocks all current flow to protect the cell from damage. The phone will show no charge indicator and will not power on. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a USB port — and leave it for 15–20 minutes without pressing the power button. Once the BMS detects the charger has brought the cell above its recovery threshold, the charge indicator will appear and normal boot becomes possible.

Frequently Asked Questions

My GIONEE F105 shuts off at around 25% after I put in this new battery — is the cell faulty?

The cell is not faulty. The fuel gauge IC on the F105 was calibrated to the old degraded cell's discharge curve, so it misreads the new cell's voltage under modem or screen load. Run one full discharge — let the phone shut itself off — then charge it to 100% in a single uninterrupted session. That resets the coulomb counter to the new cell's actual curve and the percentage readings stabilise.

Fast charging stopped working on my F105 right after I swapped the battery — it only trickle charges now.

On the first cycle after a cell swap, the charge IC on the F105 may not accept the fast-charge handshake until the fuel gauge IC has completed at least one full calibration cycle. The phone defaults to trickle current as a precaution when the BMS presents as uncalibrated. Complete one full standard charge to 100% without interrupting it. Fast charge protocol should re-engage on the following cycle.

The battery percentage on my F105 jumps around erratically — it goes from 60% down to 40% in minutes, then back up.

This is the fuel gauge IC recalibrating after the cell swap. The coulomb counter is comparing live voltage readings against a stored lookup table that no longer matches the new cell's discharge curve. The jumps narrow significantly after the first full discharge-charge cycle and typically stop entirely after the second. Let the phone discharge fully to auto-shutdown, then charge to 100% twice consecutively without partial top-ups.
