Fits Crosscall Shark-V2 smartphone; replaces OEM battery part number BL-651A.
3.7V and 1200mAh lithium-ion cell restores full capacity to the Shark-V2 after degradation from charge cycles.
Connector slides into the vertical slot with the contact edge facing outward; locking tab seats flush against the frame.
We bench-tested this cell in the Shark-V2 fuel gauge circuit — BMS accepted the new pack on insertion without fault codes.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle to let the coulomb counter recalibrate against the new cell's discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Crosscall Shark-V2 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BL-651A)

This is a 3.7V, 1200mAh Li-ion cell for the Crosscall Shark-V2 rugged smartphone. It replaces OEM part BL-651A when the original cell's capacity has degraded. Dimensions are 58.70 × 39.90 × 7.20mm — confirm these against your existing cell before ordering.

  • Shark-V2 fitment: The Shark-V2 uses a compact removable cell at 3.7V nominal. This replacement matches that voltage rail and physical footprint, so the BMS handshake completes on power-up without fault codes.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge under screen-on and modem-active loads. The BMS held cutoff thresholds correctly and did not trigger premature low-voltage shutoff during the test runs.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This gives the fuel gauge IC time to map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging begins against an uncalibrated reference.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Shark-V2 after a cell swap

This is a voltage cliff issue, not a capacity fault. When the modem or display draws peak current, a new cell with an uncalibrated fuel gauge IC can drop below the BMS cutoff threshold before the percentage readout reaches zero. The phone shuts down because real cell voltage has collapsed under load, even though the reported percentage looks safe. Run one full discharge to near 0% and a full charge to 100% to let the coulomb counter re-anchor its calibration.

Phone feels warm near the battery during the first charge after replacement

A new cell starts with higher internal impedance than a conditioned one. The charge IC pushes current into that resistance, and the conversion loss shows up as heat near the battery compartment. This is normal for the first one or two charge cycles and reduces as impedance drops. If warmth continues past the third full charge, check that the battery contacts are seated flat and making clean contact — poor contact forces the IC to compensate with higher voltage, which increases heat.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Crosscall Shark-V2 won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months — is it dead?

Likely not dead — the BMS has locked out the cell because voltage dropped below 2.5V per cell during storage. Plug the phone into a wall charger, not a computer USB port, and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. Most BMS circuits trickle-charge from lockout back to a recoverable voltage around 3.0V before allowing a normal boot. If the screen shows no charge indicator after 40 minutes on a wall charger, the cell has discharged too deep for the BMS to recover and the battery needs replacing again.

The Shark-V2 is showing 85% battery but the percentage keeps jumping around every few minutes — what's happening?

The fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve and is misreading the new cell's state of charge. This produces erratic percentage jumps as the coulomb counter tries to reconcile measured voltage against a curve that no longer matches. Run one full uninterrupted discharge — screen on, no charging — until the phone shuts itself off, then charge to 100% without interruption. After that single cycle the fuel gauge IC resets its reference points to the new cell and the readout stabilises.

Fast charging stopped working on my Shark-V2 after I swapped the battery — the phone only slow charges now.

On the first cycle after a cell swap, the charge IC may not receive a valid handshake from the new BMS and defaults to standard 5V/1A as a safety fallback. This is not a fault with the charger or the cable. Complete one full slow charge to 100%, then disconnect and let the phone sit for two minutes before reconnecting. The charge IC re-negotiates the protocol on the next plug-in cycle, and fast charging typically resumes from that point.
