Fits Evolveo StrongPhone Q4 smartphone; replaces OEM battery part number SGP-Q4-BAT.
Delivers 3.7V at 3000mAh capacity; powers the device through a full workday on a single charge.
Connector slides into the battery compartment with a locking tab that seats flush against the device frame.
We bench-tested this cell in the StrongPhone Q4 platform; the BMS accepted the pack on first insertion without fault codes.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle so the fuel gauge IC recalibrates against the new cell discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Evolveo StrongPhone Q4 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (SGP-Q4-BAT)

This is a 3.7V, 3000mAh (11.1Wh) Li-ion replacement battery for the Evolveo StrongPhone Q4 rugged smartphone. It replaces OEM part SGP-Q4-BAT directly. Fit the new cell when the original no longer holds adequate charge or fails to power the device through normal use.

  • StrongPhone Q4 fitment: The Q4 uses a fixed 3.7V single-cell architecture with a dedicated BMS that governs charge cutoff and low-voltage protection. This cell matches the connector pinout and physical footprint — 57.52 × 55.10 × 9.00mm — so it seats correctly in the battery bay without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on the Q4 platform. The BMS accepted the new cell without throwing a protection-circuit lockout, and the charge IC completed a full CC/CV charge cycle cleanly to 4.2V.
  • First-cycle calibration tip: After installation, disable fast charging for the first complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging is applied to an uncalibrated cell — reducing the chance of erratic percentage readings early on.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the StrongPhone Q4

This happens when the cell voltage drops below what the modem or display load requires, even though the fuel gauge still reads a charge remaining. A degraded or freshly swapped cell with an uncalibrated coulomb counter will hit this voltage cliff faster than the OS expects. The BMS cuts power to protect the cell before the reported percentage reaches zero. Run two full discharge-charge cycles without fast charging — the fuel gauge IC will re-anchor its curve and the early shutdowns will stop.

Phone stays warm near the battery during the first charge after replacement

A new cell typically has higher internal impedance than a broken-in one, which causes the charge IC to dissipate slightly more heat during the constant-current phase. This is normal on the first one or two cycles and does not indicate a fault. It resolves as the cell's impedance settles with use. If the phone remains hot beyond the second full charge, measure charge port voltage — it should not exceed 5.2V during standard charging.

Frequently Asked Questions

The StrongPhone Q4 won't turn on after the new battery sat in a drawer for a few months — is it dead?

The BMS locks out when cell voltage drops below roughly 2.5V from storage self-discharge. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a PC port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC will trickle current into the cell until it clears the BMS lockout threshold, after which the phone will boot normally.

The battery percentage on my Q4 keeps jumping around erratically after I fitted the replacement cell — what's going on?

The fuel gauge IC on the Q4 is still using the calibration curve it built for the old cell. It has no reference data for the new cell's actual charge-voltage relationship, so reported percentages are unreliable until it recalibrates. Run two complete discharge cycles — drain to auto-shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — and the coulomb counter will re-anchor to the new cell's curve.

Fast charging stopped working on my StrongPhone Q4 after I swapped the battery — the phone now only charges slowly.

On the first cycle after a cell swap, the charge IC defaults to a conservative charge rate because the BMS has no history with the new cell. Some Q4 units also require the fuel gauge to complete at least one full cycle before the USB negotiation logic re-enables higher current draw. Charge fully to 100%, drain to shutdown, then charge again — fast charging typically re-enables on the second or third cycle.
