My GreenWorks blower cuts out on turbo mode but works fine on low speed — what's wrong?

Turbo mode pulls significantly more current than low speed, and if the battery's cells have degraded or the connections have resistance buildup, the pack will hit its overcurrent threshold and shut down to protect itself. Check the battery terminals on both the pack and the blower for corrosion or debris — even a thin layer of oxidation causes enough resistance to trigger cutoff under high load. Fully charge the battery, then test turbo mode again immediately after removing it from the charger; if it cuts out within the first few seconds, the pack's internal resistance has risen past the point where it can sustain high-draw loads. Put a multimeter on the battery terminals under load — a healthy 60V pack should stay above 52V; a drop below that under turbo draw confirms cell degradation.

Greenworks 60V battery was sitting in the shed all winter and now the charger won't recognize it — just sits there doing nothing

Deep self-discharge over a long storage period can drop cell voltage below the threshold the charger needs to begin a charge cycle. Some Greenworks 60V chargers will not initiate if the pack voltage has fallen too far, and they show no lights or a fault light rather than starting a recovery charge. Remove the battery, wait 60 seconds, and reinsert it firmly — sometimes a single reconnect is enough for the charger to attempt a trickle recovery pass. Check the battery's indicator button: if pressing it shows no LEDs at all, the pack has discharged deeply enough that you'll need a charger with a recovery or "wake-up" mode, or the cells may be permanently sulfated past recovery.

Replaced my old Greenworks battery with this one and the blower runs noticeably slower than it used to — is something wrong with it?

A new 60V 5Ah pack running slower than a worn-out one is almost always a contact or seating issue — if the pack isn't fully clicked into the tool, voltage drop at the connection mimics a weak battery. Pull the pack out, inspect the contact pins on both the tool and battery for bent or dirty contacts, reseat it until you hear the latch click, and test again. If speed is still low, check whether the blower's speed selector is set correctly, as some Greenworks brushless tools store the last speed setting. If the problem persists across a full charge cycle, measure terminal voltage at the battery contacts during operation — it should hold above 52V under normal blowing load.
