Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Gloria MultiJet 18V Pressure Washer — 18V Li-ion Replacement Battery

An 18V 2000mAh Li-ion replacement for the Gloria MultiJet 18V battery-powered pressure washer. Fits the same Bosch Power for All 18V platform, so it slots directly into the MultiJet 18V and the other compatible tools in that system. Part numbers 729102.0000 and 728970 both cross to this cell.

  • MultiJet 18V platform compatibility: The MultiJet 18V, MultiBrush Li-On, and WeedBrush Li-On all share the same 18V Bosch Power for All connector and BMS handshake, which is why one battery covers the full lineup.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran full charge and discharge cycles — the BMS held voltage steady under pump load and triggered the low-voltage cutoff cleanly without sag-induced shutdowns.
  • First charge before use: Charge fully before the first session. Li-ion cells perform more consistently once the BMS has completed one full conditioning cycle.

Why pressure washer batteries wear faster than drill batteries

The MultiJet 18V pump draws continuous current across the full session — unlike a drill that pulses. Sustained draw at up to 24.9 bar puts steady heat into the cells. Heat is the main driver of Li-ion capacity fade. Storing the battery away from the unit between uses and letting it cool before recharging extends cell life noticeably.

Washer cuts out mid-session — here is what is happening

If the MultiJet 18V shuts off suddenly during use, the BMS has likely hit the low-voltage cutoff under load. A battery that reads partial charge at rest can still drop below the cutoff threshold once the pump draws current. Remove the battery, let it rest five minutes, then recharge fully. If the issue repeats, the original battery has lost enough capacity that it can no longer sustain pump pressure — that is when a replacement is the right call.

Frequently Asked Questions

Gloria MultiJet 18V loses pressure halfway through cleaning and then cuts out completely — what's happening?

This is a thermal cutoff trigger, not a dead battery. The MultiJet's pump motor draws hard at the top of its pressure range (up to 24.9 bar), and a 2000mAh 18V pack at low state of charge can't sustain that current without the cell temperature tripping the protection circuit. Let the battery cool for 10 minutes, then check resting voltage — a healthy pack should read 19.8–20V off the charger, and anything under 17V under load points to a weak cell group. If it keeps cutting at the same point in the job, start at a lower pressure setting to reduce draw and confirm whether the pack recovers or keeps faulting.

Bosch Power for All charger shows a fault light when I put this replacement battery on it — won't start charging at all.

A fault light on first charge usually means the pack voltage has dropped below the charger's recovery threshold, which happens when a Li-ion battery has sat in a deeply discharged state. The Bosch Power for All platform chargers typically reject packs below around 10–12V because charging a deeply discharged Li-ion cell is a fire risk. Leave the battery connected for 5–10 minutes — some charger models will attempt a slow recovery pulse before switching to normal charge; if the fault clears, charging has started. If the fault light stays solid after 15 minutes, measure pack voltage directly across the terminals with a multimeter — below 10V and the pack needs to be replaced, not recovered.

Replaced the battery on my MultiJet and now the pump runs but water pressure is noticeably weaker than it was with the old pack — same sprayer, same tap feed.

Weak pressure with a running motor almost always means voltage sag under load — the battery is providing enough voltage to spin the pump but not enough to hold it at working speed against resistance. We see this on 2000mAh 18V packs when individual cell internal resistance has risen, even if resting voltage looks fine. Attach a multimeter and check voltage at the battery contacts while the washer is running — if voltage drops below 16V under load, the cells can't deliver the current the pump needs. A healthy pack holds above 17.5V running at the MultiJet's mid-pressure range.
