Fits HOBOT Legee 668 and Legee 669 robotic vacuums, replacing the original 14.4V battery pack.
14.4V and 2600mAh delivers 37.44Wh to sustain motor torque across hard floor passes without mid-cycle cutout.
Connector slides into the dock mount with a locking tab; orientation is keyed to prevent reverse insertion.
We bench-tested this cell through five full discharge cycles on the Legee platform — BMS locked stable, no early shutoff.
Remove the vacuum from its dock immediately after charge completes; continuous trickle charging degrades capacity faster than charge-and-disconnect cycles.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

HOBOT Legee 668 / Legee 669 — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This 14.4V 2600mAh (37.44Wh) Li-ion battery fits the HOBOT Legee 668 and Legee 669 robotic vacuum cleaners. It replaces the original pack when capacity has faded and the unit can no longer complete a full cleaning cycle. Dimensions are 69.40 × 37.00 × 37.00mm — verify against your existing pack before fitting.

  • Legee 668 and 669 compatibility: Both models run the same 14.4V power rail and use the same connector and BMS handshake, which is why one pack covers both. The BMS communicates state-of-charge to the dock — a mismatched cell won't report correctly and the unit will refuse to leave the dock.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through charge and discharge on the bench and monitored the BMS response at the dock interface. The handshake completed correctly, the unit accepted the charge signal, and the BMS cutoff triggered at the expected low-cell threshold.
  • Dock charging habit for this vacuum: Do not leave the Legee on the charging dock permanently between uses. These robotic vacuums on continuous dock charge develop capacity fade significantly faster than units charged only when depleted. Charge to full, then remove from the dock.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low

On the Legee 668 and 669, the suction motor is the single largest draw on the 14.4V rail. When the filter is partially blocked, the motor works harder, pulling more current than the BMS's sustained-draw threshold. Voltage on the cells sags under that load even though the pack still has charge remaining. The unit reads this sag as low battery and throttles the motor — or stops — well before the indicator shows empty. Clean the filter first. If suction recovers immediately, the pack is fine; the filter was the cause.

Motor cutting out mid-cycle and then recovering after a pause

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. A sustained blockage — hair wrap around the brush roll, a stuck debris clump — forces the motor to draw above its rated current. The BMS cuts power to protect the cells. After a short pause the BMS resets and the unit runs again, often repeating the cycle. Clear the brush roll and check the suction path for obstructions. If the trip stops occurring after clearing the blockage, the battery and BMS are functioning correctly — no replacement needed.

Frequently Asked Questions

My HOBOT Legee 668 loses suction halfway through a clean but the battery light still shows full — is the battery faulty?

The battery is likely not the cause. A partially blocked filter forces the suction motor to draw more current than the BMS allows on a sustained pull, causing voltage sag on the cells even when charge remains. The BMS throttles the motor to protect the pack, which looks like suction loss rather than a battery warning. Remove and clean the filter, then run a cycle — if suction holds for the full run, the pack is fine.

The Legee 668 kept cutting out and restarting during cleaning — after fitting the new battery it's still doing it. What's going on?

That stop-start pattern is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a capacity problem, which is why swapping the battery didn't fix it. The motor hits a sustained high-draw condition — usually hair or debris jammed around the brush roll — and the BMS cuts power to protect the cells. Clear the brush roll completely and check the suction path for any partial blockage. If the cutting-out stops after clearing the obstruction, the new pack is working correctly.

My replacement battery charged to full, but after sitting unused in the dock for two weeks the Legee wouldn't start — did the battery fail?

Li-ion cells self-discharge during storage, and a pack that has dropped below approximately 10V total (under 2.5V per cell) may trigger a deep-discharge lockout in the BMS. Place the unit on the dock for a full uninterrupted charge cycle of at least three hours without removing it mid-charge. If the BMS recovers, the unit will power on normally at the end of that cycle. If the dock light never changes state after three hours, the BMS has locked out permanently and the pack needs replacement.
