This is a 14.4V 2600mAh lithium-ion battery pack for the iHome AUTOVAC Nova Classic and Eclipse Pro Robot Vacuum series. It fits iHRV6-BLK and iHRV11 models that share the same battery bay and voltage rail. Capacity is sourced from product data at 2600mAh (37.44Wh).
- Nova Classic and Eclipse Pro cross-compatibility: These models share a common 14.4V architecture, identical battery bay dimensions, and the same BMS communication protocol — which is why one cell works across the range without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through full charge-discharge cycles on the Nova Classic platform. The BMS negotiated correctly with the robot's charge controller, and overcurrent protection tripped as expected under a simulated blockage condition before releasing cleanly.
- Dock charging habit on robotic vacuums: Do not leave the Nova Classic sitting on its dock between every session indefinitely. Continuous trickle charge after reaching full capacity accelerates cell degradation faster than standard cycling. Charge to full, use the vacuum, let it return to dock only when depleted.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator shows low on the Nova Classic
This happens when the motor is drawing more current than rated — usually because a partially blocked filter forces the motor to work harder on the same voltage budget. The battery's BMS reads this as an elevated draw and throttles output before the fuel gauge registers a problem. Clean or replace the filter first, then retest. If suction recovers immediately, the battery was not the issue.
Motor cuts out mid-run and restarts a few seconds later
This is a BMS overcurrent trip — not a dead battery. When the intake is restricted, sustained high current triggers the protection circuit, which cuts power briefly then resets. The vacuum appears to "pause" or stall unpredictably. Clear the brush roll and check the filter for compaction. If trips stop after cleaning, the cell and BMS are functioning correctly at their rated 14.4V threshold.

My iHome AUTOVAC Nova Classic keeps stalling and restarting on its own — is the new battery faulty?
Almost certainly not the battery. That stall-and-restart pattern is a BMS overcurrent trip caused by restricted airflow forcing the motor to spike above rated current draw. Check the filter and brush roll for blockage before assuming the cell is defective. Clear the restriction and run a full cleaning pass — if the stalling stops, the battery is working exactly as it should.
The Nova Classic seems to run out of power way sooner than it used to, even with the new battery installed — what's wrong?
A clogged or worn filter is the most common cause. When airflow is restricted, the motor pulls more current than rated to maintain suction, which drains the 2600mAh pack faster than the robot's charge indicator predicts. Replace or thoroughly clean the filter and retest. If runtime improves noticeably, the filter was the draw — not the cell.
The replacement battery charged fine the first time, but now the Nova Classic docks and shows charging yet the pack never reaches full — what's happening?
Continuous dock sitting is the likely culprit. If the vacuum returns to the dock after every short run and sits there between sessions, the charger holds the pack at a low trickle state that gradually reduces capacity to accept a full charge. Remove the robot from the dock once it reaches 100% and only re-dock when depleted. Cycle the pack fully two or three times this way and check whether charge acceptance returns to normal.
