The OH3502 cradle reads pack state through pogo-pin contacts on the battery base. If those contacts carry oxidation or debris from handling, the dock controller sees high resistance and flags a charge fault. This is not a cell defect — it is a contact issue. Wipe the gold contacts on both the battery and the cradle with a dry lint-free cloth, then reseat the scanner firmly until the status LED confirms charging.

Scanner drops wireless connection during rapid barcode scan bursts

The OH3502 draws simultaneously from the radio module and the laser or imager during a rapid scan sequence. That combined current spike can pull the cell voltage below the BMS hold threshold if the pack is already partly depleted. The radio link drops first because the scanner prioritises the imager circuit under voltage sag. Start the shift with a fully charged pack — a cell at 4.2V sustains both loads without sagging below the 3.2V BMS cutoff.
