Fits Lenovo K5s, K5s TD-LTE, and PADL0006CN models; replaces OEM BL295 battery.
3.85V, 3000mAh lithium-polymer cell restores full charge cycles on this mid-range smartphone.
Connector aligns vertically into the slot; press down until the locking tab seats flush.
We bench-tested the BMS against a K5s motherboard — fuel gauge IC accepted the new cell after one full discharge-charge cycle without lockout.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle — this lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve before high-current charging.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Lenovo K5s — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BL295)

The BL295 is a 3.85V, 3000mAh lithium-polymer cell that fits the Lenovo K5s, K5s TD-LTE Dual SIM, and PADL0006CN. It replaces a degraded original battery that no longer holds charge under screen and modem load. Physical dimensions are 79.00 × 59.20 × 3.72mm — confirm clearance before seating the cell.

  • K5s and PADL0006CN compatibility: These variants share the same battery bay geometry, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — one cell covers all three listed models without adapter or modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled the BL295 through charge and discharge on K5s hardware. The BMS accepted the charge IC handshake without error, held voltage above 3.6V through most of the discharge curve, and tripped protection correctly at the low-voltage threshold.
  • First-cycle fast charge protocol: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-charge cycle at standard rate. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated cell.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

This is a voltage cliff, not a defect. Under modem TX bursts or full-brightness screen load, a new cell that hasn't been calibrated will sag below the shutdown threshold while the OS still reports 20–30% remaining. The fuel gauge IC inherited the old cell's charge curve and is misreading state-of-charge. Run two full discharge-charge cycles without fast charging and the shutdown floor will shift down to match the new cell's actual capacity.

OS battery percentage jumping erratically after cell swap

The K5s fuel gauge IC uses a coulomb counter calibrated to the original cell's internal resistance profile. A new cell has different impedance, so the counter loses tracking accuracy and the displayed percentage jumps or resets unexpectedly. This corrects itself after one full discharge to below 5% and a full uninterrupted charge to 100% — do not unplug mid-cycle. After that cycle, percentage reporting stabilises against the new cell's actual curve.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Lenovo K5s shuts off at around 25% after fitting the new BL295 — is the battery faulty?

The cell is not faulty. Under high-current draw — modem transmission, GPS, or maximum screen brightness — a freshly installed cell with an uncalibrated fuel gauge IC sags below the hardware shutdown voltage while the OS still reads 20–30%. The coulomb counter inherited the old cell's discharge curve and is misreporting state-of-charge. Run two full discharge-charge cycles at standard (non-fast) charge rate and the shutdown floor will correct itself.

Fast charging stopped working on my K5s the day after I put in the new battery — what happened?

On the first cycle after a cell swap, the charge IC sometimes refuses to negotiate the fast-charge protocol until it has completed one full standard-rate cycle and confirmed the new cell's impedance is within expected range. This is a BMS protection behaviour, not a phone fault. Charge once to 100% at standard rate, let it discharge normally, then charge again — fast charging resumes once the IC accepts the new cell's parameters.

The K5s won't power on at all after the new BL295 sat in a drawer for a few months before installation — how do I recover it?

Lithium-polymer cells that sit uninstalled can self-discharge below the BMS lockout threshold of approximately 2.5V per cell. When voltage drops that low, the BMS cuts output to prevent damage and the phone shows no response to the power button. Plug in via USB with the original charger and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing anything — the charge IC applies a trickle current to bring the cell back above the recovery threshold, after which the BMS re-initialises and normal charging resumes.
