Fits Husqvarna Automower 260ACX and 210C series mowers, replaces OEM part 535 08 34-01 and cross-references 535 12 09-01, 535 12 09-02, 540 05 96-01, 540 05 96-02.
18V 3000mAh Ni-MH pack delivers 54Wh for full-season autonomous mowing without mid-cycle battery swaps.
Slides into the vertical cartridge slot with a single locking tab; connector is keyed to prevent reverse insertion on the charge cradle.
Bench testing shows the Ni-MH chemistry accepts charge within two minutes of insertion into the standard Husqvarna charger with no BMS delay.
On first seasonal use below 10°C, bring the pack indoors overnight to restore conductivity — cold Ni-MH cells exhibit reduced output and may trip the motor cutoff under blade load.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Husqvarna Automower 260ACX Series — 18V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (535 08 34-01)

This is an 18V 3000mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for Husqvarna Automower and Automover robotic lawn mowers, including the 260ACX, 210C, and over 40 additional models. It replaces OEM part 535 08 34-01 and its cross-reference variants. Capacity is 3000mAh (54Wh), matched to the original specification.

  • 260ACX and 210C series fit: These models share the same 18V battery rail, physical connector, and BMS handshake protocol. One pack covers the full compatibility list without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through charge and full discharge cycles on a 260ACX unit. The BMS reported cell balance correctly at each cycle, and the mower's charge indicator cleared without fault codes.
  • Seasonal storage tip: If the mower has been docked unused through winter, disconnect the battery and store it separately at room temperature. A pack left connected in a cold garage can self-discharge below the charger's acceptance threshold — typically under 10V — and the station will show a fault without beginning a charge cycle.

Charger showing fault after mower sat in garage all winter

Ni-MH cells left in a cold docking station over winter lose charge through self-discharge. If the pack drops below the charger's minimum acceptance voltage, the station flags a fault and refuses to charge. To recover, connect the battery to a standalone Ni-MH charger capable of a low-rate trickle or "wake-up" mode — this brings cell voltage back into the acceptance window. Once the pack reads above approximately 12V, the Automower docking station will recognise it and resume normal charging.

Mower cuts out mid-row then resumes after a short pause

This is thermal protection triggering, not a faulty battery. On thick or wet grass, the blade motor draws a sustained high current that raises pack temperature until the BMS trips the output. The mower goes quiet, waits, then restarts once the cells cool. Allow a 5-minute cooldown before resuming, and check that the blade disc is clear of compacted clippings — debris increases motor load and accelerates the trip.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Automower 260ACX docking station shows a fault light and won't start charging the new battery — what's wrong?

The docking station's charger requires the pack to sit above a minimum acceptance voltage before it will begin a charge cycle. A new battery that has been in storage may have self-discharged below that threshold. Connect the pack to a standalone Ni-MH charger on a trickle or recovery mode first — once cell voltage climbs back above roughly 12V, plug it back into the docking station and the fault light should clear.

The replacement battery feels noticeably warmer than the original did after a mow cycle — is something wrong?

Heat during the first several cycles is normal for a new Ni-MH pack. Fresh cells condition over the first 3 to 5 full charge-discharge cycles, and internal resistance is slightly higher until that process completes. The warmth should reduce noticeably by cycle 5. If the pack is still running hot after that point, check that the battery compartment contacts are clean and seating fully — a high-resistance connection forces the cells to work harder and generates excess heat.

After a cold night, the Automower starts its cycle but returns to the dock much sooner than usual — is the battery failing?

Cold temperatures reduce available capacity in Ni-MH cells — this is a chemistry characteristic, not a defect. Below 10°C, internal resistance rises and the pack delivers fewer watt-hours per cycle before the BMS signals low charge. Bring the battery indoors overnight before a cold morning mow, and the available capacity will be significantly closer to the rated 3000mAh. If short cycles persist at normal temperatures after 5 conditioning cycles, the cells may need replacement.
