Sale priceFrom $33.99 USD Regular price $41.99
Shipping calculated at checkout.
Fits Omniled LED work lights 2019 onwards, including models 138006, 138007, 290061 and later revisions.
4.8V, 1500mAh Ni-MH chemistry delivers consistent voltage output across discharge cycles on portable LED fixtures.
Battery slots into the original housing with no adapter needed — connector orientation matches OEM spec exactly.
Bench testing confirmed stable voltage delivery under full-brightness LED load without early BMS cutoff or voltage sag.
On first use with a new battery, run the light on medium brightness for one full cycle before switching to maximum brightness — this lets the LED driver calibrate current regulation against the fresh cell.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Omniled 2019 Onwards LED Light Series — 4.8V Ni-MH Replacement Battery

This is a 4.8V, 1500mAh Ni-MH rechargeable battery for Omniled portable LED lights manufactured from 2019 onwards, including models 138006, 138007, and 290061. It replaces the original cell pack when repeated charge cycles have degraded capacity. Voltage and cell chemistry match the stock specification exactly.

  • 2019-onwards Omniled compatibility: These models share the same 4.8V four-cell Ni-MH pack configuration, connector pinout, and LED driver input range. Swapping to a mismatched voltage or chemistry causes the driver to underdrive the LEDs or refuse to power on entirely.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through charge and discharge on the 138006 platform. The BMS accepted full charge without interruption, and the LED driver held consistent current output across the discharge curve until the low-battery cutoff tripped.
  • First-cycle brightness calibration: Run the light on medium brightness for the first full cycle after fitting this battery. The LED driver reads current draw against the new cell's output before you push it to maximum — skipping this step can result in inconsistent brightness in the first few hours of use.

LED work light dimming before the low-battery indicator activates

The LED driver in these Omniled units reduces current output before the BMS reaches its cutoff threshold. This is intentional — the driver begins pulling back power when cell voltage dips under load, protecting the cells from deep discharge. You see dimming first, then the indicator, then shutdown. This is normal behaviour and not a fault with the battery or the light.

Light not reaching full brightness after fitting the replacement battery

This happens when the battery arrives partially discharged from storage — the cell voltage is too low for the LED driver to operate at full current. The driver won't deliver maximum brightness until the pack is above approximately 5.4V (fully charged across all four cells). Charge the battery completely before the first use and re-test at maximum brightness. If the issue persists after a full charge, check the charge contacts for oxidation on the battery terminals.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does my Omniled light get warm around the battery compartment during long use?

Heat builds up from two sources running together in an enclosed housing — the LED array generates heat during operation, and the Ni-MH cells warm as they discharge under load. This is normal at sustained maximum brightness. If the housing gets uncomfortably hot to hold, drop to medium brightness to reduce both LED draw and discharge rate simultaneously.

My Omniled light dims much faster than it used to on the highest brightness setting — is the new battery faulty?

It isn't. Maximum brightness draws three to four times more current from the cells than medium brightness does. A new 1500mAh Ni-MH pack at full charge will show noticeably shorter high-brightness periods compared to what you remember when the original battery was new — but the original cell had also degraded by then, shifting your baseline. Run one full discharge cycle at medium brightness first to confirm the pack is performing at rated capacity before judging it on maximum draw.

The Omniled battery charges fine but loses charge quickly when the light sits unused for a week — is something draining it?

Ni-MH chemistry self-discharges faster than lithium cells — a fully charged pack can lose a measurable portion of capacity just sitting on a shelf. There is no parasitic drain fault in the light causing this; it is a property of the cell chemistry. If you store the light for more than a few days between uses, charge it before use rather than relying on the charge level from last time.
