This is a 3.7V, 2000mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the I-Mate Touch smartphone. It slots into the original battery bay and restores power to the processor, display, and radio stack. OEM part numbers ELF0160, 35H00095-00M, and FFEA175B009951 all cross-reference this cell.

When the phone reports 25%, the actual cell voltage may already be near the 3.0V cutoff threshold under modem or display load. The BMS trips the output to protect the cell, and the phone cuts out without warning. One full discharge-to-shutdown followed by a full charge resets the coulomb counter and aligns the gauge to the new cell.
I-Mate Touch not powering on after sitting in storage
Li-ion cells self-discharge in storage, and if the pack voltage drops below approximately 2.5V per cell, the BMS latches into lockout to prevent damage. The phone will not respond to a normal power-on press. Connect the device to a low-current charger — 500mA USB is enough — and leave it for 20–30 minutes to let the BMS see enough voltage to exit lockout. Once the charge indicator appears on screen, normal charging can resume.

The fuel gauge IC on the Touch is calibrated to the discharge curve of the original cell. A new cell with a higher internal capacity shifts that curve, so the reported percentage drifts from the real charge state. Run one complete discharge — until the phone shuts itself off — followed by a full uninterrupted charge. That single cycle gives the coulomb counter enough data to remap the gauge accurately.
The I-Mate Touch feels warm near the battery compartment during the first few charges after replacement — is that normal?
A new cell typically has higher internal impedance than a well-cycled one. The charge IC pushes current into that resistance, which generates more heat during the first few charge cycles. The warmth should drop noticeably after three to five full cycles as impedance settles. If the device becomes hot to the touch or the charge IC throttles back repeatedly, stop charging and check that the replacement cell dimensions match the original — a cell that is too thick can compress internal contacts and raise resistance further.
The I-Mate Touch cuts out suddenly at around 25% battery — it never did this before the swap.
This is a voltage-cliff failure, not a capacity problem. Under peak modem or backlight load, the cell voltage sags below the BMS cutoff threshold even though the fuel gauge still reads 25%. The BMS trips the output to protect the cell, and the phone shuts down hard. Discharge the phone fully until it powers off on its own, then charge to 100% without interruption — this recalibrates the fuel gauge IC to the new cell's voltage curve and moves the reported cutoff point back in line with real cell voltage.
