This is a replacement battery fits the ICLEBO Free robotic vacuum cleaner and replaces OEM part number YBR-B02-1.
This 14.4V, 3400mAh Li-ion cell delivers consistent voltage to the motor and navigation boards throughout the cleaning cycle.
The connector slides straight into the battery slot with a positive-first orientation; the locking tab seats flush against the vacuum housing.
We bench-tested this pack on a Free unit; the BMS accepted charge within two cycles and held voltage steady under sustained motor draw.
Do not leave the vacuum on the charging dock continuously — cordless vacuums develop capacity fade significantly faster under trickle charge than when charged only when depleted.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

ICLEBO Free / Plus / Pro Series — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (YBR-B02-1)

This is a 14.4V, 3400mAh Li-ion battery for the ICLEBO Free, Plus, Pro, and Robot Pro YCR-M04-02-R robotic vacuum cleaners. It replaces OEM part numbers YBR-B02-1 and YCR-B01-3. When the original cell degrades, suction drops and cleaning cycles shorten — this battery restores both.

  • Free, Plus, and Pro platform compatibility: These models share the same 14.4V battery rail, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. One cell fits all listed variants without modification or adapter.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through full charge and discharge cycles on the ICLEBO platform. The BMS passed overcurrent protection checks and communicated correctly with the charger throughout.
  • Dock charging habit for this robot: Do not leave the robot parked on the charging dock continuously. ICLEBO robotic vacuums on permanent dock contact receive a low-level trickle charge that accelerates capacity fade. Charge to full, then remove the robot from the dock until the next cleaning cycle.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low

This happens when the motor draws higher current than rated — usually caused by a partially blocked filter or brush roll restriction. Under that extra load, cell voltage sags early and the BMS throttles power to protect the pack, which the robot interprets as a low-battery condition. The indicator hasn't caught up because voltage sag is temporary, not a true state-of-charge reading. Clear the filter and brush roll first, then retest — if suction holds, the battery is fine.

Motor cutting out mid-cycle and then recovering on its own

This is an overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When the brush roll hits heavy carpet or a blockage, current spikes past the BMS threshold and the pack shuts output to prevent cell damage. After a few seconds the BMS resets and power returns. Remove any debris from the brush roll channel, clean the filter, and run a cycle — if the cutout stops, the restriction was the cause. If it continues on a clear floor, check that the replacement cell is sitting fully seated and the connector is locked at 14.4V.

Frequently Asked Questions

My ICLEBO Free stops mid-clean, pauses, then starts again — is the battery failing or is something else causing this?

That pause-and-resume pattern is a BMS overcurrent trip, not cell failure. A restricted brush roll or clogged filter forces the motor to draw more current than the BMS allows, so it cuts output briefly then resets. Clean the filter and clear the brush roll before assuming the battery is at fault. If the cutouts continue on a clear hard floor with a clean filter, reseat the battery connector and verify the pack is sitting at 14.4V under load.

The ICLEBO shows a full charge but suction feels noticeably weaker than it used to — what causes that?

Capacity fade from continuous dock charging is the most common cause. Cells kept on permanent trickle charge lose usable capacity gradually — the indicator still reads full because the voltage looks correct, but the pack can't sustain the current the motor needs under load. Remove the robot from the dock when fully charged rather than leaving it docked between sessions. A replacement cell recovers full rated output at 3400mAh, but the same dock habit will degrade it at the same rate.

The ICLEBO Free won't charge at all after fitting the new battery — charger light stays off or blinks an error.

The charger expects a BMS handshake from the battery before it delivers current. If the cell was deeply discharged during storage, the BMS may have entered a protection state that blocks the handshake. Connect the robot to the dock and leave it for 15 minutes — some BMS units recover from deep-discharge lockout with a brief trickle pre-charge. If the charger light still won't engage, check the dock contacts are clean and making firm contact with the robot's charging pins.
