Fits Philips CRP777, CRP777/01, CRP781 cordless vacuums; replaces OEM battery CRP777.
14.4V, 3400mAh capacity delivers full motor power for hard floors and carpet cleaning cycles.
Connector slides into battery slot with locking tab; orientation marked on pack body.
We bench tested this cell on a CRP777 motor load — BMS held steady through sustained suction pulls with no early cutoff.
Do not leave this vacuum on the charging dock continuously; trickle charge degrades capacity faster than charge-to-full and remove cycles.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Philips CRP777 Series — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (CRP777)

This is a 14.4V 3400mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Philips CRP777 cordless vacuum cleaner and related models including CRP777/01, CRP781, and FC9910/01/A. It slots into the same battery bay and connects via the original terminal block. Capacity is 3400mAh (48.96Wh) — matching the factory spec.

  • CRP777 and FC9910 platform fit: These models share the same 14.4V battery bay, terminal layout, and BMS handshake protocol. One cell pack covers the entire platform without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell on a CRP777 unit and confirmed full motor spin-up, correct BMS communication, and stable voltage output through a full discharge cycle without mid-cycle cutoff.
  • Dock charging habit on this vacuum: Do not leave the CRP777 sitting on the charging dock permanently. These vacuums are particularly prone to capacity fade from continuous trickle charging. Charge to full, then remove from the dock until the next use.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low

This happens when the motor draws more current than the BMS expects — usually caused by a partially blocked filter or full dust canister. The BMS reads the current spike as a low-voltage event and reduces output to protect the cell. The vacuum feels like it's losing charge early, but the battery is not the root cause. Clean the filter and empty the canister first, then check whether the symptom persists.

Motor cuts out mid-clean then recovers after a pause

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When sustained airflow restriction forces the motor to pull beyond the rated current threshold, the BMS cuts power to protect the cell. After a short rest, the BMS resets and the vacuum powers on again. Clear the filter and check the brush roll for hair or debris wrap. If the trip keeps happening on a clean machine, verify resting cell voltage — it should read above 14.0V before use.

Frequently Asked Questions

My CRP777 had great suction when new but now it fades within the first few minutes of cleaning — is this the battery or a filter issue?

Both can cause this, but the most common culprit on this model is a partially clogged filter forcing the motor to pull excess current, which triggers early BMS throttling. Clean the filter and empty the canister completely, then retest. If suction still fades quickly on a fresh charge, the battery cells have degraded and are sagging under motor load — a replacement cell will restore full output. Check resting voltage first: a healthy 14.4V Li-ion pack should read at least 14.0V before use.

My CRP777 won't charge after I fitted this replacement battery — the dock light doesn't respond at all.

Some Philips vacuum chargers expect a specific BMS handshake before initiating a charge cycle. If the dock light stays off or flashes an error, seat the battery firmly and confirm the terminals are clean and making full contact. Try holding the power button for 10 seconds with the battery installed — this can wake a deeply discharged BMS. If the charger still doesn't respond, test the dock with a multimeter at the charge pins: you should see 16.8V output confirming the charger is live and the issue is at the battery-to-dock interface.

I charged the CRP777 every night on the dock whether I used it or not — now the battery barely holds charge. Did I damage it?

Yes — continuous dock charging is the leading cause of capacity fade on this vacuum. The charger applies a low trickle current indefinitely when the battery is full, and Li-ion cells degrade faster under sustained trickle than through normal charge-discharge cycling. The cell chemistry breaks down at the anode level over hundreds of hours of unnecessary trickle charge. Going forward, charge only when depleted and remove the vacuum from the dock once the indicator shows full.
