Fits Ingenico Vital Act 3S terminals, replaces OEM part BTY00009 and FPS16020002419.
This 3.7V, 800mAh Li-ion cell delivers 2.96Wh to power card reader, display, and printer circuits during merchant transactions.
Connector seats flat into the battery slot with a single locking tab—orient the contact face upward and push until the tab clicks.
We ran full transaction cycles on test units; the BMS accepted the handshake on first boot with no overcurrent trips or fault codes.
After installation, run one complete transaction cycle before live deployment—the terminal calibrates its charge indicator during normal operation and needs a full power cycle.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Ingenico Vital Act 3S — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BTY00009)

This is a 3.7V, 800mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Ingenico Vital Act 3S and LEC-V03.00-0242 portable payment terminals. It matches the original cell's voltage, capacity, and connector footprint. Swap it in when the original cell no longer holds charge through a standard transaction shift.

  • Vital Act 3S and LEC-V03.00-0242 compatibility: Both terminals share the same battery bay, BMS handshake protocol, and 3.7V single-cell architecture — one battery fits both.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on a Vital Act 3S unit. The BMS accepted the new cell without fault flags, and the charge IC completed the top-off phase correctly before reporting full charge.
  • First transaction cycle before live deployment: The Vital Act 3S maps battery capacity during normal operation. Complete at least one full power cycle and one transaction after installation — this allows the terminal's charge indicator to calibrate correctly and prevents false low-battery warnings mid-shift.

Terminal rebooting mid-transaction after battery swap

The Vital Act 3S draws a simultaneous current spike from the display backlight, wireless module, and receipt printer motor when processing a transaction. On a new cell that hasn't completed a conditioning cycle, the BMS can interpret this combined draw as an overcurrent event and trip the protection circuit. This cuts power to the terminal mid-sale. Run the terminal through one full charge cycle and at least one complete transaction before using it in a live environment — this allows the BMS to characterise the load profile and stop tripping on normal peaks.

Terminal not powering on after sitting unused in storage

Li-ion cells self-discharge at roughly 2–3% per month. If the Vital Act 3S sat unused for several months, the cell voltage may have dropped below the BMS recovery threshold — typically around 2.5V — and the BMS will block power-on to protect the cell. Connect the terminal to the charging cradle and leave it for at least 20–30 minutes before pressing the power button. If the charge LED does not respond, remove the battery, reinsert it firmly to reset the BMS, then reconnect to charge.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Vital Act 3S shows the battery indicator stuck at 99% after charging the new battery for hours — is it faulty?

This is normal behaviour on a fresh cell. The charge IC in the Vital Act 3S enters a top-off trickle phase when the cell is new, which can hold the display at 99% for an extended period before it steps to 100%. It is not a fault with the battery or the terminal. Leave the terminal on charge connected to the cradle until the indicator advances — it will complete within one full charge cycle.

The Vital Act 3S won't complete the PCI boot sequence after I installed the replacement battery — it stalls on the startup screen.

The Vital Act 3S runs a BMS handshake check during the PCI boot sequence, and a new cell that hasn't been through a charge cycle can fail that check, causing the boot to stall. Connect the terminal to the charging cradle and allow it to charge fully before attempting to power on again. Once the cell reaches a stable voltage above 3.9V, the handshake completes and the boot sequence finishes normally.

The Vital Act 3S feels noticeably warm during a busy transaction period — is the battery causing this?

The warmth comes from the combined load of the display, wireless radio, and receipt printer motor all drawing from the single 800mAh cell simultaneously. This is expected during heavy transaction periods and does not indicate a battery fault. The Vital Act 3S's BMS monitors cell temperature and will throttle or cut output if the cell exceeds safe limits. If the terminal is consistently warm, allow it 10–15 minutes on the cradle between heavy use periods to let the cell temperature stabilise.
