Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Keyence HR-100 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (50121527-005)
This 3.7V 3400mAh Li-ion battery replaces the original pack in the Keyence HR-100 handheld barcode scanner. It matches the OEM part numbers 50121527-005 and HR-B1. The HR-100 is a portable data capture scanner used in warehouse, retail, and logistics environments.
- HR-100 fit and connector: The HR-100 uses a dedicated battery bay with a specific contact layout tied to its BMS handshake. This pack matches that layout — the scanner will not initialise if the contact pitch or cell voltage profile is off.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through repeated scan trigger bursts combined with active wireless polling. The BMS held steady through combined inrush without tripping into protection mode, and cell voltage recovery between bursts was consistent across the test run.
- First-shift prep for pick-and-pack use: After installing, place the scanner in its cradle for a full charge cycle before going live. Scan trigger inrush current is highest when the cell is near minimum. A fully charged cell prevents false BMS trips at the start of a shift.
Cradle showing charging error on a new pack
The HR-100 cradle monitors contact resistance during the charge handshake. If the dock contacts or the battery contacts have any residue or oxidation, the cradle can flag a fault even on a fresh pack. Wipe the gold contacts on both the battery and the cradle with a dry lint-free cloth, then reseat the scanner firmly. The charge indicator should clear within 30 seconds of a clean connection.
Scanner losing wireless connection during rapid scan bursts
During a rapid scan sequence, the imager and the wireless radio draw current simultaneously. If cell voltage sags under that combined load, the radio stack can drop its connection before the BMS hits its cutoff threshold. This happens most often when the battery is below 30% state of charge. Keep the pack above 3.5V resting voltage during heavy-burst shifts to avoid mid-session dropouts.

Frequently Asked Questions
My HR-100 won't read barcodes right after I swapped the battery — is the scanner broken?
The scanner is not broken. The imager needs a minimum supply voltage to fire, and a new pack shipped in storage mode may sit below that threshold. Place the HR-100 in its cradle and charge it fully before attempting any scans. Once the cell reaches its nominal 3.7V, the imager will initialise and read normally.
The cradle is flashing a charge error but the battery looks seated — what's wrong?
The fault almost always comes from contact resistance at the dock pins, not a defective pack. Pull the scanner out, wipe the battery's gold contacts and the cradle's pins with a dry lint-free cloth, then reseat the scanner with firm downward pressure. If the cradle clears the error and begins charging within 30 seconds, the connection is good.
My shift endurance is noticeably shorter than with the old battery — what causes that?
Scan burst frequency and wireless polling both draw current continuously, and their combined load is higher than most users expect. If the pack was put into service without a full initial charge cycle, the BMS may have set a conservative capacity baseline. Fully discharge the pack through normal use, then charge it uninterrupted to 100% in the cradle — this lets the BMS recalibrate its state-of-charge window.
