Fits KIOSK AQSI5 payment terminal, replacing the original 7.4V lithium-ion cell for point-of-sale operations.
7.4V and 2600mAh capacity sustains transaction processing, receipt printing, and wireless connectivity without mid-cycle shutdowns.
Connector seats vertically into the terminal's battery bay with a single locking tab that clicks when seated correctly.
We ran full charge cycles on the BMS and confirmed the cell accepts the terminal's charge IC handshake without fault codes.
After installation, complete one full transaction cycle before deploying in a live environment — the terminal maps battery capacity during normal operation and requires this cycle to calibrate the charge indicator correctly.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

KIOSK AQSI5 — 7.4V Li-ion 2600mAh Replacement Battery

This is a 7.4V 2600mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the KIOSK AQSI5 payment terminal. It fits the AQSI5 directly and restores power to terminals where the original cell has degraded or failed. Capacity figures are taken from the product specification — 19.24Wh total energy.

  • AQSI5 platform fit: The AQSI5 uses a 7.4V two-cell Li-ion configuration with a BMS that negotiates capacity data at boot. This replacement matches that voltage rail and connector so the terminal's charge IC recognises the pack without triggering a hardware fault on power-up.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through simulated transaction loads — display on, wireless active, receipt printer firing — and monitored BMS overcurrent response. The protection circuit held through combined draw without tripping into lockout.
  • First deployment tip: After fitting, complete one full transaction cycle before putting the terminal into a live queue. The AQSI5 maps battery capacity during normal operation and needs at least one complete power cycle to calibrate the charge indicator correctly.

Payment terminal rebooting mid-transaction after battery swap

The AQSI5 pulls a current spike the moment the receipt printer fires — that burst can hit the BMS overcurrent threshold on a cold or uncalibrated pack. If the BMS hasn't completed its first handshake with the charge IC, it reads the spike as a fault and cuts the cell to protect the circuit. This usually shows up in the first few transactions after a battery swap, not in general use. Run the terminal through two or three complete transaction cycles on a quiet bench connection before live deployment to let the BMS settle its overcurrent baseline.

AQSI5 not powering on after sitting unused in storage

Li-ion cells self-discharge at roughly 2–3% per month. A terminal left in a drawer for several months can drop the cell below the BMS recovery threshold — typically around 2.5V per cell — and the BMS locks out to prevent damage. The terminal will show no response at all: no boot screen, no charge indicator, nothing. Connect to a known-good charger and leave it for 30–45 minutes before attempting to power on; most BMS circuits enter a low-current trickle recovery mode that will bring the cell back above the 2.5V threshold needed to re-enable the output.

Frequently Asked Questions

The AQSI5 reboots every time the receipt printer fires — is that the battery?

Yes, most likely. The printer motor draws a sharp current spike that can trip the BMS overcurrent cutoff on a new or uncalibrated pack. This happens because the BMS hasn't yet established its baseline for the AQSI5's combined load. Run the terminal through three full transaction cycles on bench power before live deployment — after that, the BMS adjusts its threshold and the mid-print reboots stop.

My AQSI5 battery indicator is stuck at 99% and won't move — is it broken?

Not broken — this is normal behaviour on a new cell. The AQSI5's charge IC enters a top-off mode when it detects a fresh Li-ion pack and holds the display at 99% while it completes a slow final-balance charge. It typically clears after one full discharge-and-charge cycle under normal transaction load. Run the terminal through a full working session, then charge it to completion overnight, and the indicator will calibrate to the correct level.

The AQSI5 won't complete its boot sequence after I fitted the new battery — it just hangs on the startup screen.

This is a BMS handshake issue. The AQSI5 runs a PCI boot sequence that checks battery authentication data before loading the payment firmware, and a new cell sometimes needs one full boot-charge cycle before that handshake is accepted. Remove the battery, refit it firmly to ensure connector contact, then power on while connected to the charger — the charger voltage helps the BMS hold the output rail stable long enough for the boot sequence to complete. If it still hangs, leave it on charge for 20 minutes before the next boot attempt.
