Fits Tianyu P30 payment terminal; replaces OEM battery for card processing devices.
7.4V 2600mAh lithium-ion delivers sustained power through high-transaction retail periods and hospitality checkouts.
Connector clips into the standard Tianyu P30 battery slot; locking tab secures against vibration during transport.
We bench-tested with full transaction cycles — BMS accepted handshake on first boot, no overcurrent faults during receipt printer motor draws.
After installation, run one complete transaction cycle end-to-end before live deployment; the terminal calibrates charge display mapping during normal operation and needs this cycle to show accurate capacity readings.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Tianyu P30 — 7.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This 7.4V 2600mAh (19.24Wh) Li-ion battery fits the Tianyu P30 portable payment terminal. The P30 is a handheld card processing device used in retail and hospitality environments where merchants need consistent power through a full shift. This battery replaces a degraded or failed original cell and restores normal terminal operation.

  • Tianyu P30 platform fit: The P30 uses a 7.4V two-cell Li-ion pack with a specific connector orientation and BMS handshake. This battery matches that voltage rail and connector, so the terminal's charge controller recognises it and accepts the charge cycle without throwing a battery fault code.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this battery through a full charge cycle and simulated transaction loads — including printer motor draw and wireless bursts. The BMS held steady through each current spike without triggering an overcurrent cutoff.
  • First deployment tip: After fitting this battery, complete one full transaction cycle before deploying the terminal in a live environment. The P30 maps capacity during normal operation and needs at least one complete power cycle to calibrate the charge indicator correctly.

Payment terminal rebooting mid-transaction after battery swap

The P30 combines wireless communication, display backlight, and a thermal receipt printer on a single battery rail. When the printer motor fires, it draws a short burst of current that can exceed what the BMS expects from a new, unconditioned cell. The BMS interprets this spike as an overcurrent event and cuts power to protect the cell — which the terminal registers as a hard reboot. Running one full charge-discharge cycle before live deployment allows the BMS to learn the normal draw profile and stops it from tripping on printer motor surges.

Terminal not powering on after sitting unused in storage

Li-ion cells self-discharge slowly over time. If the P30 has sat unused for several months, the cell voltage can drop below the BMS recovery threshold — typically around 2.5V per cell — and the terminal will show nothing when you press the power button. Connect the terminal to its original charger and leave it for at least 30 minutes before attempting to power on. Most BMS circuits include a recovery trickle mode that brings the cell back above the cutoff threshold at a low charge rate; once voltage recovers above approximately 3.0V per cell, normal charging resumes.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Tianyu P30 keeps rebooting at the moment a customer taps their card — what's causing that?

The tap-to-pay reader and the wireless module both draw current at the same instant during a contactless transaction, and on a new battery the BMS can trip an overcurrent cutoff before it has learned the terminal's normal load profile. This registers as a sudden reboot rather than a freeze. Run the terminal through one complete charge cycle and a few test transactions off the shop floor first. After that conditioning cycle the BMS stops tripping on the combined wireless and reader draw.

The battery indicator on my P30 has been stuck at 99% since I installed the new battery — is something wrong?

Nothing is wrong. When a new Li-ion cell is at high state of charge, the charge IC enters a top-off mode and holds at a fixed reporting threshold while it trickles in the final charge — the indicator stays at 99% until the cycle completes. Discharge the terminal through normal use until it drops to around 20%, then charge it back to full. After that first proper cycle the charge IC recalibrates its reporting and the indicator moves accurately.

The P30 feels noticeably warm during a busy period with lots of back-to-back transactions — is that a battery problem?

That warmth comes from the combined load of the display, thermal printer, and wireless radio running in rapid succession during high transaction volume — not a fault with the battery itself. Li-ion cells generate heat under sustained draw, and the P30's compact housing limits heat dissipation. If the terminal becomes hot enough to trigger a thermal warning on screen, pause transactions for two to three minutes to let the BMS thermal sensor reset. Persistent overheating under normal transaction loads can indicate the original battery has degraded below usable capacity, in which case fitting a fresh cell resolves it.
