Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Mегафон SP-W1 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery
This is a 3.7V, 1100mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Mегафон SP-W1 smartphone. It slots into the SP-W1 battery bay and restores power to a phone that no longer holds a charge. Rated at 4.07Wh, it matches the original cell's voltage and form factor at 84 × 34 × 4mm.
- SP-W1 fit: The SP-W1 uses a removable slim-pack cell at 3.7V nominal. This replacement matches that voltage rail and physical footprint, so the battery seats correctly and the charge IC sees the expected cell parameters on first boot.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on the bench. The BMS engaged charge cutoff cleanly at 4.2V and held low-voltage protection without tripping prematurely under steady load.
- Fuel gauge recalibration after swap: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one full discharge-to-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before the charge IC pushes higher current into an uncalibrated cell.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the SP-W1 after a cell swap
This happens because the fuel gauge IC is still using the discharge curve it learned from the old, degraded cell. When the new cell hits a steeper voltage drop under screen or modem load, the IC hasn't mapped that curve yet and calls an early shutdown. It reads 25% but the voltage has already dropped below what the protection circuit allows under load. Running one complete discharge cycle — draining to automatic shutoff, then charging uninterrupted to 100% — forces the coulomb counter to rebuild its reference against the new cell.
SP-W1 not powering on after the replacement battery sat in storage
Li-ion cells self-discharge in storage, and if the cell drops below roughly 2.5V the BMS trips into lockout to prevent damage. A phone that won't respond to the power button after weeks on a shelf is almost always in BMS lockout, not a dead cell. Connect the SP-W1 to a charger and leave it untouched for 15–20 minutes — the charge IC will trickle current into the cell until voltage climbs above the BMS recovery threshold. Once voltage crosses approximately 3.0V, the BMS re-initialises and the phone boots normally.

Frequently Asked Questions
The SP-W1 shows 28% battery and then shuts off with no warning — is the new cell defective?
The cell is almost certainly fine. The fuel gauge IC on the SP-W1 was calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve, and the new cell has a different voltage slope under load. When the modem or display draws current and voltage dips sharply, the IC triggers a protection shutdown even though the display still showed charge remaining. Run one full cycle — drain to automatic shutoff, then charge to 100% without interruption — and the coulomb counter will remap to the new cell. After that cycle, shutdowns at false percentages stop.
The battery percentage on my SP-W1 is jumping around after fitting the replacement — sometimes it goes up without charging.
Erratic percentage readings are the fuel gauge IC recalibrating against an unfamiliar cell. The IC uses a coulomb counter that tracks charge in and out, but the reference it built on the original cell doesn't match the new one's impedance and discharge curve. The readings stabilise after one or two full discharge-charge cycles with fast charging disabled. Keep the phone plugged in until 100% is reported, then run it down to automatic shutoff — repeat this once more and the gauge settles.
My SP-W1 gets noticeably warm near the battery during the first few charges — is that normal?
Some warmth on the first one or two charges is expected. A new cell has higher internal impedance than a cell that has been cycled, so the charge IC dissipates slightly more energy as heat while the cell conditions. That warmth should reduce after two or three full cycles as impedance drops. If the phone is hot to the touch — not just warm — or charging stops and restarts repeatedly, check that the battery connector is fully seated and the contacts are clean before the next charge attempt.
