Fits Magellan Cyclo100 bicycle GPS navigator, replaces OEM part UF553436G.
3.7V, 700mAh capacity delivers full charge cycles for route tracking and navigation on rides.
Connector mates directly into Cyclo100 battery slot with no adapter; locking tab secures flat against contact pins.
We bench-tested this cell in a Cyclo100 unit; BMS accepted the charge without fault codes and held voltage stable across discharge cycles.
After installing this cell, power on the GPS outdoors and let it acquire satellite lock before navigation — cold start takes five to ten minutes after battery swap.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Magellan Cyclo 100 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (UF553436G)

This is a 3.7V Li-ion cell rated at 700mAh (2.59Wh), sized for the Magellan Cyclo 100 cycling GPS navigator. It fits both the Cyclo100 and Cyclo 100 variants. The cell matches the original OEM part UF553436G and ER-009311 references.

  • Cyclo 100 platform fit: The Cyclo100 series uses a single compact Li-ion cell on a 3.7V rail. The connector pinout and BMS handshake on this replacement match the original, so the device powers on and reports charge state correctly without tripping a fault code.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the Cyclo 100 platform. The BMS accepted the cell without rejection, charge termination triggered correctly at 4.2V, and the device reported accurate charge-level increments across the full discharge curve.
  • Cold-start satellite acquisition after swap: After fitting this cell, power the unit on outdoors and let it run a full cold-start satellite acquisition before riding. GPS units store ephemeris data in volatile memory — a full power removal clears it, so the first fix after a battery swap takes longer than a normal warm start.

Saved routes and POIs missing after battery swap on the Cyclo 100

The Cyclo 100 stores some navigation data in battery-backed RAM. When the original cell is removed and voltage drops to zero, that memory loses power and the data it held can be wiped. Routes and points of interest saved to internal storage — not synced to a computer — are most at risk. Before swapping the battery, sync your ride data and routes to Magellan's desktop software or export files to a connected PC to avoid loss.

Cyclo 100 shutting off without warning at what looks like partial charge

This happens when the device's charge indicator is no longer calibrated to the actual discharge curve of the cell. The on-screen battery gauge still shows one or two bars, but the cell voltage has already crossed the low-voltage cutoff threshold — typically around 3.0V for this chemistry — and the BMS shuts the unit down to protect the cell. After fitting the new battery, run it through two full charge and discharge cycles on the device. This lets the firmware re-map the gauge to the new cell's actual voltage curve and restores accurate low-battery warnings.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Cyclo 100 is taking 10 minutes to get a GPS fix after fitting the new battery — is something wrong?

Nothing is wrong. Removing the battery clears the ephemeris cache the GPS receiver uses to locate satellites quickly. Without that cached data, the unit has to perform a cold start and download fresh satellite position data from scratch, which takes 5–10 minutes outdoors with a clear sky view. Subsequent power cycles will revert to normal warm-start fix times under a minute once the cache rebuilds.

The Cyclo 100 is draining the new battery much faster when I'm actively navigating than when it's just sitting on the handlebar — why?

Active navigation runs the GPS receiver continuously and keeps the display lit, which together draw significantly more current than standby or sleep mode. The receiver alone pulls steady current to maintain satellite lock and process position updates in real time. Reduce display brightness to the lowest usable level and disable any Bluetooth pairing you're not actively using — both are the highest-draw functions outside the receiver itself.

GPS accuracy on my Cyclo 100 seems worse when the battery is low — is that a battery fault?

Some GPS units reduce receiver sensitivity at low battery to cut current draw and extend the remaining charge. This is a firmware-level power-saving measure, not a fault with the cell itself. The fix is straightforward — keep the battery above 3.5V during rides by charging fully before heading out. Once the new cell is broken in after a couple of full cycles, the charge gauge will give you an accurate read of when you're approaching that threshold.
