Fits Garmin fēnix 2 smartwatch model 010-01055-15 and replaces OEM battery 010-11935-00.
3.7V 1200mAh lithium-ion cell delivers the capacity needed to restore full GPS and activity tracking runtime to your fēnix 2.
Connector is a two-pin contact block; seats flat into the battery cavity with no locking tab — physical fit is straightforward.
We bench tested this cell in a fēnix 2 unit; BMS accepted charge immediately and voltage held stable across multiple discharge cycles.
After fitting this cell, power the fēnix 2 fully on outdoors and allow it to acquire a satellite fix before navigation use — GPS performs a cold start after power interruption that takes 5–10 minutes for first fix versus under a minute for subsequent warm starts.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Garmin fēnix 2 / GLO Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (010-11935-00)

This 3.7V, 1200mAh Li-ion cell replaces the OEM battery in the Garmin fēnix 2 smartwatch (010-01055-15), GLO, and GLO 2 GPS receivers (010-02184-01). It matches the original cell's dimensions at 53.00 × 33.90 × 5.70mm, fitting the existing battery bay without modification. Voltage and capacity are identical to factory spec.

  • fēnix 2 and GLO platform fit: These models share the same battery footprint, connector pinout, and 3.7V supply rail. The fēnix 2's GPS and heart-rate circuitry and the GLO's Bluetooth receiver module both operate from this common cell without any BMS handshake conflict.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and load on a fēnix 2 unit. The onboard BMS accepted charge from the standard clip charger without fault codes, and voltage held steady under the combined GPS radio and display load.
  • Cold-start satellite acquisition after fitting: After installing this cell, power the watch on outdoors and let it run a full cold-start GPS fix before heading out. A cold start after full power removal can take 5–10 minutes for first satellite lock — subsequent warm starts will return to under a minute once almanac data is cached.

GPS accuracy reduced when battery charge drops below 20%

The fēnix 2's GPS receiver draws its highest current when maintaining continuous satellite lock during active tracking. At low charge, the firmware throttles receiver sensitivity to protect the remaining cell voltage. This shows up as position drift or wider accuracy circles on the display. Keeping the cell above 3.6V under load prevents the receiver from entering reduced-sensitivity mode.

fēnix 2 shuts off without warning before the battery indicator hits zero

After a battery swap, the fuel gauge algorithm in the fēnix 2 needs a full charge-discharge cycle to recalibrate its voltage-to-capacity map. Until that cycle completes, the device can cut power abruptly when the cell hits the low-voltage cutoff threshold — even while the indicator still shows one or two bars. Run the watch from a full charge until it shuts off naturally, then charge it to 100% without interruption. After that single cycle the indicator will align with actual remaining capacity.

Frequently Asked Questions

My fēnix 2 lost all my saved routes after I replaced the battery — is there any way to recover them?

Removing the battery cuts power to the RAM that holds unsaved route data and some activity caches. Any routes not previously synced to Garmin Connect are gone. Going forward, sync all routes to Garmin Connect or export GPX files before any battery work. Saved waypoints stored in non-volatile memory are usually retained and should reappear on first GPS fix after boot.

Satellite lock is taking 5–10 minutes after the battery swap — was something damaged during the install?

Nothing is damaged. Pulling the battery clears the cached almanac and ephemeris data the GPS receiver uses for a warm start. Without that cache, the receiver has to download fresh satellite orbital data from scratch, which takes 5–10 minutes outdoors with a clear sky view. After that first cold-start fix completes, subsequent locks will drop back to under a minute as long as the watch isn't left unpowered for more than a few days.

Active GPS tracking is draining the new battery much faster than standby mode — is the cell faulty?

This is expected behaviour, not a cell fault. The fēnix 2 GPS receiver and backlit display running together draw several times the current of standby mode. If drain still seems excessive, check whether the backlight timeout is set to its shortest interval and whether hourly GPS tracking mode is active rather than continuous — switching from 1-second to 1-minute GPS recording intervals significantly reduces receiver-on time per hour.
