Fits Nokia 4091S and 4091S dual SIM phones, replacing OEM part TEL4091S.
This 3.7V, 1200mAh Li-ion cell restores full talk time and standby duration to aging 4091S units.
Connector and form factor match original — slides into battery slot with standard Nokia locking tab engagement.
We bench-tested this cell on a 4091S simulator; BMS accepted charge without fault codes, voltage held steady under load.
On first power-on after installation, run one full discharge-charge cycle without enabling any fast-charge mode — the fuel gauge IC needs to recalibrate against this cell's discharge curve before the phone reports accurate percentage.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Manta 4091S / 4091S Dual SIM — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (TEL4091S)

This 3.7V, 1200mAh Li-ion cell replaces the original battery in the Nokia 4091S and 4091S Dual SIM mobile phones. It matches the OEM part number TEL4091S and fits the 62.00 × 38.00 × 4.50mm battery bay directly. Install this when the original cell no longer holds a charge through a normal day of calls and messaging.

  • 4091S and 4091S Dual SIM compatibility: Both variants share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and 3.7V nominal rail. The dual SIM model draws slightly more standby current from two active radios, but the cell chemistry and BMS handshake are identical across both.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge passes on the 4091S platform. The BMS held charge termination correctly at 4.2V and cut off discharge at the low-voltage threshold without triggering false shutdowns mid-cycle.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After fitting this cell, disable any fast-charge adapter and run one complete discharge-charge cycle at standard current. This lets the phone's fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before it starts reporting accurate percentages.

Why the 4091S reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The 4091S uses a fuel gauge IC that stores a learned discharge curve from the original cell. When you install a new cell, that stored curve no longer matches the actual chemistry. The phone reads voltage and maps it to percentage using old data, so it can show 40% when the cell is nearly flat. One full discharge-charge cycle at standard current forces the IC to relearn the curve against the new cell. After that cycle, percentage readings stabilise.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

This happens when the cell voltage drops sharply under load — the modem transmitting or the screen at full brightness pulls current the fuel gauge IC didn't predict at that state of charge. The phone reads 25% but the cell voltage collapses below the BMS cutoff threshold under that peak draw. It's not a faulty cell — it's an uncalibrated gauge hitting a real voltage cliff. Run two full discharge-charge cycles and the shutdowns will move to below 10%, which is normal cutoff behaviour for this chemistry.

Frequently Asked Questions

The 4091S screen went black at around 25% and now it won't turn back on — is the battery dead?

The phone hit a voltage cliff under load — the cell voltage dropped below the BMS cutoff threshold while the fuel gauge still showed charge remaining. Plug it into a standard 5V charger and leave it for 20–30 minutes before attempting to power on. If the cell sat deeply discharged in storage below 2.5V, the BMS may have locked out; a slow trickle from the charger will bring it back above the recovery threshold. Once it boots, run one full discharge-charge cycle to recalibrate the gauge.

The phone feels warm near the battery area during the first few charges after fitting the replacement — is that normal?

A new high-impedance cell draws charge current differently than a worn cell, so the charge IC works harder during the first few cycles and generates more heat. This is expected and reduces after two or three full cycles as the cell's internal resistance drops. Keep the phone out of a case for the first charge so heat can dissipate freely. If it remains warm to the touch beyond the third full cycle, check that the charge adapter output does not exceed 5V 1A for this device.

After fitting the new battery, the percentage jumps around — it shows 60%, then drops to 38%, then climbs back — what's wrong?

The fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve and is misreading the new cell's voltage-to-capacity relationship. Nothing is wrong with the replacement cell itself. Run one complete discharge — use the phone until it shuts off automatically — then charge uninterrupted to 100% without removing the charger early. That single full cycle gives the coulomb counter enough data to remap the curve, and the erratic jumping will stop.
