Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Media RM2102 / W11 Series — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BP14452G)
This is a 14.4V, 6700mAh Li-ion replacement battery carrying OEM part number BP14452G. It fits the Media RM2102, W11, W11 Plus, and W11 Pro cordless vacuums. Swap it in when the original cell no longer holds enough charge to complete a cleaning session.
- RM2102 and W11 platform compatibility: These four models share the same 14.4V power rail, BP14452G connector footprint, and BMS handshake protocol. That is why one cell covers all four — the charging circuit and communication lines are identical across the range.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge runs on a W11 Pro unit. The BMS responded correctly to charge termination, reported state-of-charge to the vacuum's indicator LEDs accurately, and held voltage under sustained motor load without tripping overcurrent cutoff.
- Dock charging habit on the W11 series: Do not leave the vacuum sitting on the charging dock between uses. The W11 series dock delivers a trickle current once full, and continuous exposure accelerates capacity fade in Li-ion cells faster than normal cycle wear. Charge to full, then remove it from the dock.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low
This happens when the motor draws more current than the BMS expects — usually triggered by a partially blocked filter, not a failing battery. Restricted airflow forces the motor to work harder, pulling sustained high current that causes voltage to sag at the cell terminals. The vacuum loses suction while the indicator still shows charge because the indicator reads state-of-charge, not voltage under load. Clean or replace the filter first, then retest suction at full charge.
Motor cuts out mid-use then recovers after a short pause
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When the motor draws a sustained spike — most often from a blocked filter or tangled brush roll — the BMS cuts power to protect the cell, then resets once current drops. The pause you experience is the BMS reset timer, typically a few seconds. Clear any blockage from the brush roll and filter, then restart the vacuum; if the cutout repeats on a clean machine, measure resting cell voltage — it should sit above 14.0V after a full charge.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Media W11 Pro battery fades noticeably after just a few months — what causes that?
Continuous dock charging is the most common cause on the W11 series. Once the cell reaches full charge, the dock keeps feeding a trickle current that stresses Li-ion cells over time and shrinks usable capacity. Remove the vacuum from the dock once charging is complete and only return it when the battery is depleted. A replacement BP14452G cell restored to this habit should maintain capacity significantly longer than the original did.
The vacuum loses strong suction halfway through cleaning but the battery light still shows green — why?
A restricted filter is forcing the motor to draw more current than the battery can sustain at rated voltage, causing a voltage sag under load. The indicator reads stored charge, not real-time voltage under that elevated draw, so it stays green while suction still drops. Remove and clean the filter, then check the brush roll for tangled debris before assuming the battery is at fault. After cleaning, retest at full charge — if suction holds consistently, the filter was the cause.
The replacement BP14452G cell is not charging on my RM2102 — what should I check first?
The RM2102 charger expects a BMS handshake before it begins the charge cycle. If the replacement cell was stored for an extended period and self-discharged below the BMS recovery threshold — typically around 10.0V — the charger may not initiate. Connect the vacuum to the dock for at least 30 minutes without interruption; some chargers require a brief conditioning pulse before recognising a deeply discharged cell. If the charge indicator still does not activate after 30 minutes, measure the pack voltage at the contacts — a reading below 9.0V indicates the cell needs a low-current recovery charge before normal charging can resume.
